Dont see the point of gana, sanchez and westwood together.

Need gil to replace one of them , maybe Westwood

No Gil, Grealish or Traore.. yet we're desperate for a win.

Westwood and Sanchez  ???

Westwood and Sanchez frees up Veretout, who at the moment looks better than Gil, Grealish or Traore.

442 so.

There is a lot of attacking impetus on the bench, so I expect an absolute storming second half!

Think it will be more like a 'diamond' in midfield with Veretout pushed on.  I do have to say that it is not a particularly inspiring line up but let's see how it goes.

With that midfield and forward line goals will always be a massive problem.

Ayew leading the line with Traore behind him sounds ace to me. So of course, Gestede gets the gig.

What Traore needs to learn is losing the ball and winning it back is every bit as important as what he might do with it. If there is one thing Barcelona are simply outstanding at is getting the ball back quickly when a play breaks down. It's a very underrated part of their game because it is so easy to focus on the ball retention and more glamorous aspects of their overall production. We can't afford that right now so the entire squad needs to work harder for 90 minutes.

I agree but would Traore work any less than Gestede in making an effort to win the ball back? I'm not sure its even possible!

The way to beat West Ham is play it on the deck as their central defender cloggers will soak up our inaccurate crosses into the box all day long without breaking sweat.

Garde can work on tightning it up all he likes but we won't win games without one or more of Gill, Greslish or Traore on the pitch

Especially at home he's got to send a team out to win rather than not lose

But then he will argue bring tight and bringing Traore on is the way forward. We shall see but the 442 diamond I'd something he seemed to play a lot at Lyon so we should not be surprised. Gestede deserved to start after his display last week too.

A very conservative line up again, I think the plan is to keep it tight and try to get into the game.
This is a pretty poor team and why we are struggling.

Maybe, but today's line-up may just bring the best out of Veretout and Gana.
All will be revealed in 2 hours.

Not sure where the width is, playing four naturally inclined central midfield players. Asking a lot of Hutton and Bacuna to maraud up and down the wings for 95 minutes.

yeah, but Hutton and Bacuna do it reasonably well, as long as the midfield cover.
