Traore on from START of 2nd half, not with 2 minutes to go.

Ok. Can't do anything currently about having shit players.

Why is garde playing 4 nearly identical sideways passing midfielders so that they are getting in each other's way. What's their outball supposed to be? How is he hoping that they will score a goal? At the moment it's Hutton creating everything. Again. If we had a couple of players getting in the box, with a couple of midfielders trying to keep up, some of those crosses might create something, but hey can't be arsed.

We've got to take Sanchez off.

He's like some sort of random number generator hooked up to a robot leg, sending the ball in a randomly selected direction every time it comes near him. Gives it away so much.

He's actually making me pine for NRC. At least we'd get some solid huddles and pointing thrown in.

The goal was my fault. I turned the TV on just as they took the corner.

Full respect for anyone who's made that journey on this weekend to watch that in this weather.

There can only be a few records left to break now.

Earliest a team has been relegated.
12 months without a league win.
A season without a home league win.
Fewest goals scored in a season.
Worst goal difference ever.

It doesn't matter who we buy, who is selected, who manages the team, where we play.. We are just an awful football club at the moment.

Here's to better luck in the second half  :-\

Absolute garbage.  And I have to say Garde is looking like he's just as clueless as Sherwood to be honest.  The line up today is absolute Blues.
I have to agree. Many of of think we are already gone. He should be taking the game to the opposition.

Sinclair and Westwood off.

We either go for this or we just roll over and die.

Still, we're building "something special" according to Stevie Wonder, our wonderful CEO.

What is Wilkins wittering on about?

Honestly the only thing he should be saying is "I apologise for my part in bringing Aston Villa to this." He can then just chat about the weather or whatever. He has no business in any way saying anything else about our club.

I'm starting to despise my addiction to the Villa. It's twisted my joy of the game in general so i can't face watching any other games but our own. I know the final score is going to be in Newcastle's favour yet i'll watch the second half in all its impotent grimness because i can't bring myself to walking away from this.
It's come to doing a rain dance in the front room. Oh Villa, one day, one day, we will remember what we are.

I reached that point about two months ago. I basically don't think about villa except when we're playing. I'm honestly so much happier as a result. Call me uncommitted perhaps. But I've followed villa for over 25 years and I just can't face devoting that much of by energy on them at the moment. Too many other things in life

Why not drive that free kick low across the surface?

That would have been too obvious - striking it tamely straight at the keeper at waist level had that element of surprise about it.

I want to see Jack and Traore on this pitch against their defenders. It's our only way back.
