They didn't unfollow me.

They never followed me back in the first place.

Same here. However, my only Tweets to them were moaning about the radio mic antenna set up behind the dugout

I only started following them on Sunday. Today all they've tweeted today is pictures of Ian Taylor visiting random fans, along with weirdly inaccurate captions. 'Bill Winnit was thrilled and excited to get a visit from Ian Taylor!'

I noticed one of Taylor's "victims" was wearing an Under Armour t shirt. One for the conspiracy theorists...

Get ready for its reinvention as a hard-selling marketing tool. No humorous trolling of other clubs' official accounts. Just lots of spam.

They've unfollowed me on twitter. Although, to be fair, I'm considering unfollowing them in real life (after 40 years).

I can't remember if they followed me or not, so I'm not too fussed.

I only follow them because they post the score with every tweet during a match. I got a little tired of wading through eight suicidal pages of the H&V match thread just to find out how many goals we'd let in. Especially since nobody on the match thread ever does anything as vulgar and obvious as announce the score.

And as for the original post I actually think it is a very wise idea and indicates we may have a new head of communications/media in place which can only be a good thing.

I don't really care that they've done it but I'm not sure how having a Head of Communications/Media who orders the unfollowing of 47000 people with no explanation can be a good thing?
It's Twitter. They will see more relevant stuff if they only follow relevant tweeters. There is no point in following fan Joe Bloggs, it just clogs up the Twitter feed.

The last tweet I tagged them in was asking if Paddy Reilly used the same site for finding players on his computer as Leicester & Watford, that must have been the tipping point

As an example you wouldn't necessarily see what The Mail or H and V was saying about you if you were following 47,000+ people as your news feed would be taken up with the guff that those people were posting but if you limit your feed you could scroll down and easily see it.

They unfollowed me and tbf I can't blame them, considering my recent tweets to them. I say recent I mean the last three years worth.

How the fuck do you unfollow 47,000 fans in a few hours, that takes some clicking.

I'm chuckling at the vision of a young work experience person sat there clicking manically 'unfollow' :-)

I reckon verified accounts will have the option to unfollow everyone with one click, then you just follow who you want after that.

I was talking to someone who works for on the media side at the club earlier this week, without betraying any confidence and I'd already guessed, they were at pains to point out how difficult it has been keeping up the positivity week in week out but it remained part of the job.I find it as frustrating as anyone (and enjoy the withering responses on Twitter and Facebook from the fans), but if the club can't keep up some sort of brave face who can? Particularly with the wave of negativity from the local radio and press.

I wasn't given any heads up regarding the Great Twitter Cull though.

They've promised to follow everyone again when we win another league game - don't hold your breathe folks...
