More confident if Richards is fit - play him at RB. Okore and Lescott as CB's, Ilori at LB? if so, 1-1.

If he's fit we all know he'll be straight back in at CB. ::)

I just can't see where our goals will come from any more. Another defeat and, jeez, won't their fans take the piss. Karma for what we did to them 5 or 6 years ago. Not a pleasant day for the travelling faithful I fear

I just can't drum up any confidence for this game..for years wherever we have gone I have always believed we may get a result..that hope has gone now and all I ask for is we don't get humiliated. . Sad ..sad times...it's like seeing an ill aged relative that you remember years ago was the lufe and soul of the party.

Mega respect to those making the journey but unfortunately we are never going to reach let alone turn a corner and the law of averages doesn't apply.

A significant defeat which will remove any remaining vestiges of morale.

Probably the lowest point in our season to date.

I bet it rains too.

The Barcodes had a fair bit of luck in their recent wins over Bournemouth, Liverpool and Spurs. About time karma sorted this shit out.

The more you practice the luckier you get. We look like a bunch of piss heads collected from various bus stops around the city and thrown together as a Sunday morning team. We get no luck because were incompetently shit.

Yet another massive, must-win, turn our season around game.

1-0 loss with the p*ss being ripped out of us by the Geordies.

I've gone for an away win. After seeing 3 home defeats this is my first away game this season. Hence we will win 2-1 and start a run of 4 consequative wins to give US a chance and hope of avoiding the drop.

Staying up in the Toon for a night on the town. I expect I will awake Sunday morning with the grim reality that my hopes of the win were dashed..............

3-0 them, we'll start well, by well I mean pass it round in midfield and the back without actually hurting them, then after about 9 minutes Sanchez will over hit a pass too Lescott, in turn it will bounce of his shin and fall invitingly for however they have upfront to roll past Guzan, nobody will attempt to get the confidence back up, they'll all stand there arms on hips feeling sorry for themselves, 2-0 just before half time, probably from a penalty that was avoidable.
We'll then come out in the second half  and realise that football is about attacking and give it some huff and puff for 15 minutes before being caught on the break for their 3rd, more self pity and heads down, then its half an hour of half arsed chasing the ball around as they 'ollay' it around.
Cue their strange fans seeing it as some sort of Karma for when we beat them 38 times and single handedly relegated them a few years back.

Cue their strange fans seeing it as some sort of Karma for when we beat them 38 times and single handedly relegated them a few years back.

A Geordie mate I haven't spoken to in ages got in touch on Monday offering me his spare season ticket and a weekend up there, but I can't make it.

He is a really decent fella and always felt loosely positive towards us - he came with me to the 1-0 win at the Sty after Saunders had just joined them, and he treated me to a night out when I got back from Rotterdam - but he says their fans don't hate us for the relegation, but for the fact that we apparently revelled in their relegation. I pointed out that it is the nature of football fans to taunt, and he gets that, but he said they couldn't cope with the banners that were made in advance "why make a banner that isn't to support your own lads?" and it was "pre-prepared gloating". Apparently that is what sends them mad about us.

So we will lose 5-0.
