0-1 to the Villa. Stranger things have occurred.

We've got to turn the corner at some point - or just have something go in our favour - a bit like TS making the substitutions he did at Leicester.

I said a week ago I'd happily lose to Arsenal in exchange for winning on Saturday evening, well the boys did the first bit, now just need to do the latter.

I've got a feeling this may be where the season starts. :)

Its either where the season starts or ends. I honestly see no way back from a defeat. We are standing on the edge, staring into the abyss. Newcastle, Sunderland, Bournemouth, Norwich are all fighting like injured dogs. A point will scarcely do now, its time for someone, anyone to stand up and be counted. I dont know whether it has been suggested before but I would like to see Carles Gil in a number 10 role behind Traore and Ayew.

2-0 Newcastle. Same script as usual with errors etc and one particulary terrible half.

I can see where you're coming from Mat - but again, for me, that leaves the team looking "lightweight"

Not a chance, I'm afraid. Now it's Newcastle's turn to take the piss, but for us to take it on the chin like men, not massive chubby teary twats with no shirts on.

A battling 1-1 draw.

Waddle for them. Stainrod in reply for us.

We will lose. Simple as.
Our players have no backbone, spirit, speed or ability, Newcastle have much more than us, even thought they are poor.
To win we will have to stand up and be counted against the crowd, our fragile, slow players won't know what's hit them.
A heavy defeat and cue more laughter.

1-0 to them.  Cue more provocation outside the away turnstiles after the game no doubt.

They have been waiting for this day since 24th May 2009 (just had to look that up - season finished late that year !)

50,000 plus screaming geordies taking the piss. It will be horrible. 3-0 to them.

I fancy us more against Norwich and Sunderland than I do on Saturday.

I love the away games but I've got to be honest, I'm glad I'm not going at the weekend. Anyone who's making the effort to go up there a week before Christmas when it's on the telly box given the way things are going deserves the greatest of respect. Well done and fair play.
