Has Wenger ever managed in the Premier League against a side managed by one of his old players?

Perhaps Tony Adams if he was at Portsmouth long enough to play against Arsenal?

Remember when he was definitely definitely going to become Villa manager? Perhaps our current predicament could be worse after all.

Fixed.

Funny how Adams wasn't a name mentioned by Redknapp and Co during all the shit following Sherwood's sacking.

Oh, he's someone who actually makes Sherwood look astute you say?

In three games last year they put twelve past us without reply. Even with their load of injuries I think they'll still see us off easily. 3-1 to them, and another depressing trudge across Aston Park at half three

First home win of the season for us.

Scoring first will be important to build on the confidence, so a quicker start is imperative.

Think we'll lose this one but win the next four (five including the cup)

Us 1 Them 3

It'll be interesting to see if Okore and Lescott get another chance at centre back with Clark and hopefully Richards available again - it will make sod all difference to the overall result but will still be interesting to see!

At least it will be in the light CJ - after watching so much s**t you don't want to go stepping in it as well!

Even with all their injuries, they still have Ozil and Ramsey, and both are on fire at the minute. I think Giroud is good for a goal away from home. Lescott has earned his place for his desire alone, start an actual left back in Illori. We're at home, so lets get one or two anyway, Them to score early and often, 2-4.

Guzan
Hutton Richards Lescott Illori
Gana  Sanchez Vertout
Adama Ayew Gil

Subs: Bunn, Clark, Bacuna, Gabby, Gestede, Grealish, Kinsella.

I like that team Mossie but would you drop Okore? I'd keep him in and either drop Lescott, or shift Richards to right back.

Richards to right back, keep Okore/Lescott in the middle and to be seasonal, play a 4-3-2-1 christmas tree formation.

...and as much as I hate to say it, Westwood needs to be on the bench as back-up for the centre-mids...and maybe give Kozak some hope by making him a sub too. So Kinsella and Gabby are out.

I think you have to keep both Hutton and Lescott in, we need their enthusiasm. Kozak has been overlooked by too many managers to consider him anything other than a beaten docket. Westwood looks downbeat also - I would exclude him because he lacks exactly what Hutton and Lescott provide. Ayew struggles on his own up top, he needs a foil. More than anything, I want to see some fight this weekend.
