Piers Morgan could be appointed Villa Manager.

'Kin hell mate, that's just about the only challenge this team is capable of meeting, and, you of all people lay it down.

9-1 to Southampton.

They've lost 3 in a row and just been smashed 6-1 at home. We need to be at them from the off. Knowing us we'll be 2-0 down within 10 mins.

Last season down there, Sox Sports News could barely keep up with texting the alerts as the goals went in.

One thing can say I'm encouraged by Southampton heavy defeat to liverpool and ponderous defence. It's a case of two up front and pace in the sides. Agbonlahor, ayew Sinclair ,nzogbia all worth playing.

Guzan
Bacuna Richards Okore Lescott
Nzogbia sancez veretout Sinclair
Agbonlahor Ayew

I'm sorry but that is the worst back line I have ever seen. Bacuna and Lescott on the outside would be absolute suicide. Mistakes on one side, no pace on the other. Okore hasn't logged a minute in ages. However, I do eventually want him to get his chance.

I'm sorry but I just cannot agree with starting Gabby. Love the guy but I can't justify it anymore. I want Remi Garde to develop the others.

I think they'll ticky tacky around us no matter who we put out there.

Is your plan to giggle them into submission?

Guzan

Hutton Richards okore crespo

   Veretout Sanchez Gana

Ayew    Kozak     Sinclair

Something like that, we will lose this one.

What's the best team to play if you have been hammered 6-1 in midweek........step up Aston Villa.

The mullering they took off Liverpool is quite nice timing. I said before they were in a rut and that battering will have shattered their confidence.

The first goal, as ever, will be absolutely crucial.
