Interesting to see what team Saints play against Liverpool tonight and whether the game goes to extra time. It won't change the fact that Southampton will win on Saturday, it'll just be interesting to see.

My two tickets hadn't arrived, so called ticket office only to be charged the full adult price for my son who has just turned 17.  Away days have just become even more  expensive! I'm just hoping for a decent performance and not humiliation like last season. A bit of luck might also help!

I hope Christian does us a favour and knocks the morale stuffing out of them tonight....assuming he plays.

Here we go again.

We're owed a big performance after the last two appearances down there, and Christ do we need one. Just rang the ticket office and we've got about 50 tickets left of our 1,707 allocation so at least we'll have a fairly decent backing.

I want to say we'll finally come good and get a suprise win but I've been saying that for weeks.

I'd start the same team as Watford but with Gestede instead of Ayew. We would have won that otherwise.

What did Gestede do? Ayew scored?

3-0 Southampton. One week we will get a surprise and beat someone, don't think it's this week though. Mane to terrorise the fullbacks and Pelle is too good in the air for our shite centre backs.

Jushead is so shit, when I saw the part about he should of started instead of Ayew and we would of won. I thought I was in the jokes thread for a sec.

nothing against the bloke but unless he is running on to a header he is fucking shit

he cant hold play up, is shit in the air when up against a decent centre half and for the size of him he has the physical presence of an 8 week old kitten

apart from that he is bang on

With Southampton being handed their arses tonight by Liverpool I wonder if this increases or decreases our chances? I fear though that the answer is immaterial and we will find ourselves in receipt of our own derriers by 5o'clock

3-0

As I said pre Watford, its going to get worse (more defeats, more gap to close) before it gets better. Southampton are well drilled and will be far too strong for our fragile state right now. I think it will be the Newcastle game before we see any joy.
