If it's any consolation at all, and it really isn't, Bournemouth now 2-2 with Swansea and Vardy has given Leicester the lead at Newcastle.

Every week I write Vardy off thinking he can't possibly keep this up. Despite being a bit of a knob, he's certainly producing on the pitch.
does that put him past Van Horseface?

Deulofeu is destroying Richardson. It's not fair.

We are beyond poor. Poor teams manage a win occasionally. I can't think how we could win a game as we are.

BBC website having a field day on their Live Reporting feed.

"Shambles. An absolute shambles in the Aston Villa penalty area. Ugo Ehiogu, Gareth Southgate, Paul McGrath, Shaun Teale, any one of them would have prevented this goal.

Romelu Lukaku helps the ball on to Arouna Kone but between Brad Guzan and Micah Richards it should be easily dealt with. Instead they hesitate, Guzan can't gather the ball in, Guzan has two attempts at catching the bobbling ball before Ross Barkley arrives and thumps home. His second of the day, into two open goals."

Danny Mills - "I cannot wait for Martin Keown to destroy Aston Villa's defending on Match of the day this evening. It is comical - the ball bounced three times in the penalty area!"

Garth Crooks - "What this performance says to me is Aston Villa's problems weren't just down to Tim Sherwood - the owners have to realise that now."

"Half Time - Awful from Aston Villa."

I don't think there's a great shame in losing to Everton, it's more the manner of it.

Thank f*** the dodgy feed decided to pack up on me after 4 minutes! We are in deep, DEEP trouble & will definitely go down if the wonderful Randolph fails to throw some dosh in the pot come January. This present bunch - bar a handful of exceptions - clearly ain't up to it. I just hope to God Everton don't go for the jugular in the second 45 - as this could get proper embarrassing.

Dreadful scenes.

I know it's customary to say "that was the worst half I can remember" and so on.

But that actually, genuinely, really was.

We were intermittently bad, we never got a foothold, and this is probably Everton's best performance of the season so far. It's a mark of how far we are behind them.

Everton did the same to Sunderland

It was obvious with Delafauo in form we would struggle with Amavi out but Sanchez missing from mifdfield has left us badly exposed , none of the 3 there are doing anything.

As bad as this is , and it is bad City and Everton were always going to be 2 very tough games hopefully other results help us a bit and we can regroup.

I will say looking at whats on the pitch to stay up we are going to have to gamble in Jan and spend big.

The genuinely scary thing is I can actually believe it is very possible we won't win a game until the window opens.  None of our fixtures you'd be able to describe as easy.

Richards is a really bad defender, I said it when he signed and I still mean it.

There is no way in the world he is a centre half. He has absolutely no understanding of keeping the shape of the defence, constantly goes walk about, he's like a 7 year old chasing the ball around the playground. We give away so many goals on the right. The sooner Jores is fit the better.

Level, I think. I scoffed when we were linked with him in the Summer!! Lets be honest, he'd never have done this for us -Leicester City are light years ahead of us.

Leicester City.

Can't defend. Can't create goal-scoring chances. I think the biggest problem is that not a one of the players seems to care. I suppose they might think that if the gaffer can't be bothered to turn up why should he expect anything different from his employees?

Sanchez on for Gana? I'd have thought for Westwood, but nobody really deserved to stay on that pitch from our team.

They can do what they like in Jan but we will be so far adrift by then it will take a miracle to save us.
