Everton look like a team who've been practicing a certain type of football for well over a year. We still look tentative and a bit incoherent, despite the (generally) improved defensive organisation.

Everton have quality players in nearly every position, were so far off them currently.

They are solid all the way through. Not solid enough for top 4 but very much so for always competing in the top half. It's when they have to play in Europe they are stretched. We are soft and lacking confidence. We haven't won in ages so we look fragile, physically and mentally. Just getting a goal will be a big deal.

if you have no way of holding onto the ball at all then you end up chasing shadows,Ayew just not good enough at this level

Not up top he isn't - he should be in the side but wide. He works hard and is positive on the ball, but he has to be on the ball in space to get his head up. Back to goal protecting the ball is not his game. We need a forward like Gomis to play off. We haven't got one at the moment. Kozak is clearly not fit enough or he would be getting a game, and Gestede just doesn't hold the ball up.
and we are going to have to play a lot of games like this with absoloutely no attacking options,

We have such a batty midfield, no balls, no leadership, no fight.

I've thought for a while we just don't have good enough players. Some say we signed good players in the summer. Maybe one or two but the majority from what i've seen are poor.

We're unspeakably shit at kicking a football from one Villa player to another. Just shit.

And never, ever let Westwood have a shot. Ever.
