Bus well and truly parked.

Bus towed away to allow Everton access to goal

I think there is no disgrace in playing deep, parking the bus and trying to ride out a storm.

Playing like you are shit scared though is unforgivable though.

if you have no way of holding onto the ball at all then you end up chasing shadows,Ayew just not good enough at this level

It's sad when the best you can now possibly hope for is to have a shot on target.

Everton have been bang in form lately, this was always going to be an awful fixture for us. Delafou or whatever the slippery little fucker is called has been incredible lately. Just want today out the way and focus on next week.

Picking Westwood over Sanchez is just odd. Whoever the manager is seems to do it too. Weird.

Brian Little
ex-Aston Villa player & manager on BBC WM 95.6
“I can’t say that Everton deserve it because their crowd has been on edge but Villa have been sitting too deep and they will have to look at changing their approach.”

Everton have quality players in nearly every position, were so far off them currently.

Not up top he isn't - he should be in the side but wide. He works hard and is positive on the ball, but he has to be on the ball in space to get his head up. Back to goal protecting the ball is not his game. We need a forward like Gomis to play off. We haven't got one at the moment. Kozak is clearly not fit enough or he would be getting a game, and Gestede just doesn't hold the ball up.

In possession (which ain't much) we look absolutely frightened to death.

A lightweight team like ours needs to move the ball fast and accurately. Which we aren't doing at all.
