Was thinking that. Combination of international break and a sense of calm brought by the new manager. Nobody is taking the current situation for granted but I sense quiet optimism. Or at least the frantic atmosphere of Sherwood and the acknowledgment we were heading straight to hell has subsided just a little.

I'm still bricking it about all the lost points from earlier in the season, if Garde can keep us up then he's a Gallic genius. It's definitely possible but it's going to be hard going and probably won't do my blood pressure any favours. In a weird way I'm sort of hoping for instant results even though I know that goes against all common sense.

November is a great month in Connecticut, you still get some decent weather before the Nor'easters arrive and dump 3ft of snow at a time. In fact, I've been desperately trying to increase my carbon footprint to keep the Winter away
