I preferred when the optimistic posters were being like comical ali and telling us everything was going to be ok.

Quite surprised that it took so long after the window closed to post the above

If Ray says it then something is badly wrong. Lerner told Garde a load of porkies.

Interesting to see the official report on the failed appeal. Although heavily blacked out in places, our appeal seemed to be on a conflict of interest of one of the panel members in the original decision.

My guess is Margaret Byrne, Sunderland’s chief executive.

There's a list here of FA Committee Members: http://www.thefa.com/about-football-association/more/fa-committees

How they can decide there's no conflict of interest is an absolute joke. Add to that the points system the FA have created that they then say is not relevant is beyond a joke.

There's an interesting site here that explains the new FA ruling system: Sweet FA

It's a joke. I know the window was utterly bollocks but to think we should have got the keeper, and it apparently wasn't money that denied us Doumbia. If ever there was a season where literally everything has conspired against us, or at least feels that way it is this season. The Gods have finally decided we're too shit to keep protecting year after year.

That, together with the refereeing this season, could almost fuel conspiracy theories

Ronaldinho and Robinho are still without clubs  ;). They wouldn't track back but at least they have the required ability of being able to control a football and deliver a cross from a dead ball situation for which a few of the current squad have found difficult to master.

Has the real Ronaldo finally retired, or is he still playing in China or somewhere?  Go and get the three of them.
