Nope. Clearly wanted backing from the board, we get some weird fucking chairman who is stunned to be offered the gig and have obviously broken funding promises to Garde from his words.  If I was him I would be gone.

Niall Quinn talking about the first bit of sense I've ever heard from him on SSN right now.
Yep, back then Lerner went to Quinn (at Sunderland) to sign Darren Bent to score the goals to get us out of trouble. The rewards are greater now, yet nothing.

I wonder do the club staff still working or sitting on their armchair with hot chocolate watching whatever on TV.
they're watching deadline day on sky to see if we sign anybody.....
Paddy: Anything happening Hendrik?
Hendrik: Nothing so far but Jim White is on now so you never know!
Paddy: What about that fella at the gate has he seen anyone come for a medical?
Hendrik: Medical? What here at BMH? Shouldn't they go to Good Hope?
Paddy: Did you say good hope? Where ? Who?
Hendrik: I meant the local hospital idiot.
Paddy: Idi Ot is at the hospital? OK if he passes his medical I want to be with him you know stretching the shirt shot!
Hendrik: No that is merchandising  and that's my job I want to be in that shot.
Paddy:  I am in charge of recru....recruit ...recruitingment yes that's it. I am in charge.
Hendrik: But we need to sell shirts and we will sell loads with Idi Ot on the back. Bit disappointing with lack of letters though?
Paddy: that's why I gave Agbonlahor a four year contract ...count the letters?
Hendrik: That's why Foxy loves you Paddy.
Paddy: yes yes sometimes I need reminding why I am here.

Absolute shambles. The worst ever custodians of our club, including the board of 68. Shame on you all.

Garde has got us 7 results, he deserved to be backed this window.

how long must we endure such inept leadership and how low is it going to take us?

Essentially he was 'perplexed and surprised' in the way we've acted this window - obviously Lerner went to him with £24m for Bent almost 5 or 6 years to the day - the rewards are even greater now for staying up and not a peep in or out! The words 'white flag' were mentioned several times in that bit of conversation and it's sickening to hear it. Acknowledged the fans anger too. FFS.

I've gone past the dissapointed /anger stage over the predicament of our club, I'm actually finding it quite funny!..The only fear I have now is that I don't think we have reached rock bottom yet. Nowhere near it.

In footballing terms, I agree - I'd stopped getting upset over the losses probably a month or two ago. Tonight though our total lack of action has made me disappointed more than anything. Even if we'd shipped some big earners out for a bit of money in anger I would be less down than I am now!

So when you're deep in the shit but have a chance to do something about it so at least it's not completely and utterly embarrassing the answer is to...not do anything. Great logic there, well done all.
