Doumbia going to Newcastle by the looks of it.

Another one down. Good God it's depressing being a Villa fan this season.

Another 'rumour' on Twitter says he's signing for us, paperwork was sent to FA today and will be announced Monday. Silly season

I bet my rumour is more accurate.

I would love us to pull Gomis and Doumbia out the bag on Monday, then get Debuchy and Inler in late miracle loans and look like an actual football team for the rest of the season but we are not going too. Its all bollocks.

Garde is probably looking at it and wondering if it's worth buying players at the moment. He will want to dump quite a few players right now and bring his own in come the summer. So he'll need to wait to see where we are before he can get who he wants. Its not because he is doing nothing, just that we're so far behind there's no point in spending millions on further players that aren't right for us.

Too true Paul.

Looks like Debuchy is coming. So that is something

Apparently Sane is leaving Bordeaux - bet he is off to one of our relegation "rivals" too.

Shame if so, because if we didn't see Richards, Hutton and Bacuna in the back 4 again this season it would at least be something of a bonus.

A lot of money, but fair play to Leicester, buying a proven goalscorer in their position. Amazed with their lack of options Spurs have not gone in for Remy.

I don't know. I think its risky. leicester have a tried and tested formula working with the right players. I think remy and vardy don't fit and could see players not sure who to pass to and changing their successful formula.

Vardy has looked jaded recently though. If they don't buy another forward I think they will be left wondering in May.

To be honest in the context of Norwich paying £9 million for Naismith it's not that much.

He's just come back from injury so not jaded. I agree they need someone but I'm not sure Remy is the right fit. The need someone for Vardy to work off and could be his foil - a Heskey (no, seriously) in his prime - not a similar sort of player.

Good business for them that is. Solid defence, great midfield and now a complete forward line-up. Got rid of Kramaric and replaced with Remy is probably now going to get them Chumps league football next season.

We won't even be in the same league. :-[

then loan some players.  Sticking with our current squad is just too bleak to even think about. Im sure we can spend a bit on wages for 5 months

They're probably expecting Vardy to go for big money in the summer too so it's a smart move. Just as we're a crap proposition at the bottom of the table and struggling to attract anyone, they have the opposing scenario and you can't blame them for making the most of it.
