Doumbia linked. Would be a good loan. At least he is quick. Won't come though!

Everton are looking to offload both Darron Gibson and Aiden McGeady on loan. Surely to Christ they would add something?

They'd add a bit of experience to our reserve team. They're shite.

Yeah, you're right. I was even doubting myself while writing it.

I'd probably take McGeady. Bit of pace on the opposite side to Ayew when Gil isn't coming off. Has to be better than Sinclair.

I think at this stage Gibson and mcgeady wouldn't be too bad, at least they are a couple of fresh faces at least.

Doumbia would be a good one on loan but doubt he will come.

I see Rhodes is off to boro for £9 million, sounds about the right price for a player of his age and calibre (McCormack went for 11 mil didn't he a couple of seasons ago, so Rhodes seems cheap in comparison) wouldn't have minded him as a signing.

Agreed.  Not the best but worth taking on loan as an option going forward.

McGeady has no real pace, similar to Sinclair in that regard and a bit work shy to boot.

Can dig out a cross every now and again so might get the odd assist for JustHead

couldnt be any worse than Sinclair

Gibson is as slow as a mule but would add some options in the middle where we are very light currently

the dregs of the bargain basement those two

Sounds like Debuchy is a done deal according to the Express and other media.

There's absolutely no point buying people who are 'no worse than Sinclair' or 'as slow as a mule but would add an option'. If we're going to buy anyone this window, it needs to be first team quality or nothing. We've wasted enough money on shite already.

Presumably then he had no other offers then as he could have signed 3 weeks ago if he had wanted to come here!

It's something I suppose but would rather prioritize other positions. I guess we're trying though and beggars can't be choosers. Doumbia being linked elsewhere I read. Go get Jedinak or Inler too please.

Having at least one decent fullback would make a big difference to the team, I think. That said you're right that a striker has to be the priority, followed by a keeper.
