Those results over Christmas have really fucked up this window. If we had a win or two things would look a bit more positive. The board have given up.

I don't believe that for one minute. Win 2 matches on the spin even now and we're right back in it. If anything even if we had those wins over Christmas you mentioned we'd still be here lamenting over our non signings right now. Basically they don't give a flying fuck about our Premier League status or the club in general.

Well I'm shocked.

There's always reasons why we can't do things, the same reasons don't seem to apply to our competitors unfortunately.

Yeah, there's always some crappy mitigating circumstances.

It wouldn't surprise me if Randy has one final regret this season and that being we end up only four or five points from safety.

I can understand not spending ridiculous amounts but take a few calculated risks for God sake.

15m would not have broken the bank would it. Keeper forward and couple of loans to give us a fighting chance. Sunderland have gone out and got people in.

Nope but I suppose it depends on wages requested and whether incoming signings would be prepared to take a 50% pay cut in the event we are relegated or they would request release clauses well below the price we pay and/or their sell on value.

Thats assuming everybody else above us slips up? Which hasn't really happened in fact when we've played against teams by us on the whole we've rolled over, lubed up and well the rest is history. Its all well and good staying positive but when you have to rely on three teams above you to consistently fail you're just clutching at straws.

It's what Fat Sam called pop bottles and milk bottles.  Time was when you got money back on a pop bottle but nothing on a milk bottle.

Even if we do sign anyone, it's not going to be a decent striker. We will have to hope Gabby has had a road to Damascus style enlightenment.

And that's it in a nutshell. Do we gamble on massively long odds ans pay way over the top to then watch them walk away for nothing in 5 months. That would be madness in our position.

Being 10 points adrift has stuffed us up totally, some of us have been saying this would happen since the Watford game. We had to stay in touch - 7+ points was when we became dead men walking.

Teams are in and around the relegation zone for one reason only and it's because they're shit, so let's face it they're gonna lose games, and lots of them. Back to back wins and you're back in the mix. We've given up way too early.

Sorry to disagree SH, I fully respect your point of view but I think it is not a case of the club giving up too early but the club starting to act sensibly much too late.

Maybe you're right after all Leicester did it, I hope you're right. The board are doing FA to help the manager though.

Maybe you're right, Leicester did it. I hope you're right but it looks as though RG will have to do it without the boards help?

I think we'll end up with the keeper and a forward on loan either Sunday or Monday.

Resigning to relegation in January is not acting sensibly. It's irresponsible and offensive to the fans of the club.
