Problem for me is say we go buy a striker from the championship or abroad by the time they've settled it's too late. Keeper I wouldn't bother I'd keep bunn then next year we've got steer who's used to the championship. Whole thing is a Fucking disaster

So the fabled Mr, Reilly has delivered fuck all in our hour of need and our new network of scouts have scoured the UK , Europe and the Americas and drawn a blank.
Hope they feel satisfied with their efforts .

There's still time to snare one or two.

Such a shame we couldn't snare any of our targets.

I've got this image of Reilly and Almstadt sitting in front of Football Manager or whatever magical scouting system we're using and Fox coming in and pulling the plug out of the wall leaving them staring at a blank screen.

Every so often one of them will tap the keyboard see nothing is happening and go back to staring at the blank screen again.

Now it could be that we had a load of targets that we have pursued with great vigour and we just couldn't convince them, and if that's the case then I apologise for the following statement. If we haven't released the required funds and tried really hard to get some players in, we are really stupid as a club. Regardless of whether we are going down we need to start the rebuilding process immediately and at the very least getting some players now would give them 6 months to bed in before the start of next season. As it stands we're going to need a massive turnover of players in the summer and that's not normally great when trying to get off to a good start. I really hope the board haven't looked at our situation and thought it's not worth supplying the required funds, because regardless of where we are next season new players are a priority now.

While I agree with what you are saying PW I don't think the people making these non-decisions are "we" at all. The stupid ones will be gone from our club as soon as something better pokes over the horizon for them and then we (the fans) will be left with the aftermath.

It's all a bit of a farce isn't it.
