Again, I don't understand all the Gabby bashing. Yes, he's not doing it at the mo, but why all the personal abuse, he is a local Villa fan who scored a winner at the Sty. Am I missing something...?

He's shit, he's not a Villa fan and you get 3 points for winning any game. So yes, you're missing the point. So the only reason why you love him so much is because he's scored a few goals against the shite and the stripey filth. What about the other 30 odd games?

They've probably already all been mentioned, but the tenuous inter web links that I can find at the moment are:
1) Daniele Padelli, GK, Torino
2) Rico Henry, LB, Walsall
3) Seymour Doumbia, FW, Roma

Do you have to apply to be able to apply for permission for the appeal?

When it comes to professional footballers it seems quite harsh to me to have rules in place where you have to have played x amount of games for your country. Why does it matter? Am I missing something? Especially being a GK there's only one bastard spot!

Always a limited footballer that looked useful with good players around him, his effort the last few games he played was abysmal. Feel sorry for Garde  desperate to get players in and no-one wanting to come, who would have thought that a player would rather play for Crystal Palace than Aston Villa. Lerner has been a total disaster for our club.

Doumbia has a hell of a scoring record, but I am sure he is on loan for the season at Moscow?

Henry looks a good young left back, but with Cissokho and then Amavi, you would question the point of doing it unless both leave in the summer.

We need forwards!

Interesting that we basically can up the fee and wages for Kalinic to get him. You would have thought someone might do that calculation before going to the first appeal!

Sorry his loan has ended in Moscow.

If you could get him in he is well worth the gamble.

Time to throw a bit of money at the problem I think. They all have their price.

Agreed Brian. Sadly I think Fox , Lerner & Hollis have decided they are not going to do that to try and save our premier league status or build a team for the Championship. They still have a few days left to try though, so we can hope for that.

There's a lot retrospective 20/20 vision on here. I seem to recall a huge sigh of relief when it was revealed Adebayor wasn't coming? Anyway if my aunt had balls etc etc.

We are where we are folks.

I was happy to see the back of Bent and Collins as well, and wasn't bothered about Albrighton leaving

I'd wish them all back now for the rest of the season

Bent can't get a game for Derby.

Collins and Albrighton have played very well this season.

As said on the striker thread, we should go and get Bamford as one of the 2 that we need.

Maybe not but I'd rather him than Gestede up front,

Nah, you want your memory of Bent on the pitch, not what he can actually deliver today.

Genuinely feel for Garde and the lack of transfers in. I know it looks nailed on that we're down but surely with the acquisition of a couple of players it might, and I say might just give us a glimmer of hope.

I think this board has already waived the white flag hence the introduction of Hollis who looks as if he's been bought in to carry on his accountcy role albeit with the title of Chairman.

Seven in the morning and I'm typing on a forum about lack of players. 😐

Interesting one that very highly thought of US centre back is apparently coming to the premier league around for about 3.5m from new york red bulls. Looks a to prospect. Isn't Houllier their sporting director?
