For those amongst us who think we should 'spend our way out of trouble', can we have some suggestions as to who we should go for? So far, we've had Patrick Bamford.

Don't we employ people to scout players?

Debuchy is having us over, why you would want a player who clearly doesn't want to come is beyond me.

If he ends up signing then it means that he did want to come here. If he doesn't then he won't come. I don't see why we would tell him to fuck off.

There were rumours that we weren't Amavi's first choice either, presumably we tell him to fuck off as well?

And taking your two posts side-by-side, we should do "something, anything", but only if it's signing somebody whose first or only choice is a side adrift at the bottom of the league?

Right-o.

Still tumbleweed blowing through here then. FFS, inaction, prevarication, and disinterest seems hardwired into the club's DNA.

You can't expect the club to attempt to buy our way out of trouble when we're staring relegation in the face. It's only our pride and our Premier League status at risk after all.

Serious question SH - where is the money going to come from, who is going to pay the wages for players to come in our position as they are likely to be highly inflated, how are you going to convince the player to sign here and not elsewhere, and who is going to fund their wages when we go down if we still do??

You expect him to answer. Be a first.

Of course  not. But you live in hope.

I'd like our glorious owner to spend a few quid this January. Where did you think the money would come from, did you really not know?

How much on transfers? At least £100M (per player)
How much on wages? Whatever Messi's on just to show that we're serious
Who should be purchased on that budget? Well now I've mentioned him, we'll start with Messi and work our way up from there
How many players should we get rid of before the above happens? That's what the bomb squad is for isn't it?
What could be the consequences on FFP rules in the event the worst happens? Who cares, all of the above is a copper bottomed guarantee that nothing will go wrong.

Bamford wouldn't be a bad shout if we are in the Championship next season.  Neither would Dwight Gayle.

I'm asking people to throw out some names, not hold the transfer talks themselves.

I've not paid full attention, but last night when I got home, Big Sam was going on about him. If he would go there, I think we could persuade him to come here.

Then this morning, the sound was down on the telly but Sky had Sinclair & other Ayew's faces at opposite ends of that big screen they stand in front of.

It's on I reckon!

Alex Iwobi Arsenal winger, Milosevic Veljkovic, Alex Pritchard Spurs midfielders, Anders Christensen, Tomas Kalas Chelsea defenders.
They should be known by our scouts.

Tommy Cooper, the Great Suprendo,Paul Daniels and his lovely assistant Miss Debbie McGee.We could also do with Penn and Teller on a season long loan subject to international clearance.

Don't think the two things are connected. Swansea want Sinclair, and Sunderland have shown an interest in Ayew, to which Swansea have said he isn't for sale, as far as I know there hasn't been any Villa interest in A Ayew.

If you are a Premier League standard player looking for a move, there wont be too many worse options than Villa at the moment, I expect very little incoming business and all of that on the last day when all other options are exhausted for players.
