Would that be the Vlaar people on here regularly see the departure of as a great loss, the Senderos who played when Lambert's team broke the one positive record of his reign and the Lescott who's doing well now?

Which seems to me to be perfectly suitable attire for attending an outdoor sporting event.

The Sun ( yes, I know ! ) and various Scottish news outlets say we are in for Stefan Johansen , he's a goal scoring midfielder, long time Norwegian International who was PFA Scotland Player of the Year in his first full season with the club....so what's not to like?  5 mil mentioned.....Godzvilla!

Just had a quick scout on Twitter (I know!) and the Celtic fans don't rate him at all and the general consensus is he's been awful this season. Should fit in well here then. Seen a lot saying £5m is far too much and they should snatch our hands off.

Yes when you think about the Stoke game we had 2 rights backs in the middle (Richards and Crespo) and they left a gaping hole for their goal, yet Senderos wasn't even in the 25 and Baker out on loan.  Senderos and Baker were great up at Liverpool the previous season keeping a clean sheet as we won, I bet they wouldn't have left the gap between them that Crespo and Richards did.  Ilori was available also so there was no need to play full backs in the middle.

Agree we don't need Vidic as Okore, Lescott, Richards and Clark provide ample cover at centre half.

He did look good early last season but then he vanished. It was bizarre, I think he was injured with calf strain but we haven't seen him since. Must be the worst calf injury ever.

I really could understand and accept the criticism of what might or might not be being screwed up at the club if it were not for the fact that the making of the criticism seems to be done with such relish.

As is often the case Brian you have hit the nail on the head. If this forum was a playground there would be a certain number sticking their tongues out and saying 'see,I told you so' with gleeful pride. We are where we are, and endless hand wringing is not going to change that. I am seeing the start of a long term rebuild and positivism which needs support and encouragement.
