Might be worth a punt on Vidic before CNZ  leaves so that we can have the two worst dressed men on the planet with us at the same time.

Three worst, since I'm not going anywhere.

You don't count Richard.  You have to be a twat underneath the comedy costume.

Vidic tried to get into Royal Ascot in a shell suit. NZog tried to get into the Chelsea Flower Show as an exhibit. League of their own.

Still not entirely sure this disqualifies me...

Back on topic.  Just a hunch, but I'm beginning to think some players will have to go out before we see any coming in this window.

Hopefully the majority of them

Saw a bit of Inter last season, Vidic looked completely done then and that was in a weaker, slower league.

Not played at all this season so if we think Lescott turned up in a state....

I actually think Remi has settled down the defence now...the fact we're only conceding 1 goal most games now hints at a stable unit although of course it can always be improved e.g. new keeper, RB.

Surely above all else we need to be getting someone upfront. The club can't claim they're serious about staying up and then do nothing about the striker situation as that hasn't been good enough all season Ayew aside.

I agree Soccer. We are desperate for both wide forward options with pace and a goalscorer. Imagine a 3 of Ayew one side, Benteke central and Remy the other. That would score some goals. I realise it will never happen, but the front at the moment is genuinely bottom 3 material.

We're playing more of a diamond formation at the moment Ozz, with Gil playing behind Kozak and Ayew.  We desperately need a striker with some pace as a different option to Kozak.

Sun are saying we are in talks with Vidic.

Not sure what to make of it. Injury prone, but class in his day, but will he cope with the league now? Certainly a leader.

hopefully its bollocks

Can't argue with the fact that not that long ago he was a great leader. Might do alright in the Championship if he was to sign, crucially stay fit and hang around that long. Stranger things have happened.

I think it's just a short term deal for the rest of this season - if it's true at all of course. At least that's what it said in the article I read.

Vidic, not for me, Centre Half we have plenty of them!

I am sure that his agent, is talking to lots of clubs around Europe, and telling everyone who will listen how Vidic, is going to play for this club etc.....

If we are to bring players in on loan we need to look at other areas of the team.

We also need to start to shift some of our lot out permanently! it proves how bad some of them are, that no one is showing any real interest in them!

And however bad it is at the Villa (supposedly) - not one has asked for a transfer, that is how worried they are about not playing every week! too many on easy street.

Vidic's legs had gone when he was playing for Man Utd and that was a few years ago. You could see he was on the decline in that last season for them, and that was surrounded by far better players than we've got. We've already got an old, experienced head who can't run in Lescott.

And Senderos is still on the payroll
