even the mobile plant pot who has bled the club dry for years and has contributed the square root of nothing? (And I realize he's entitled to the money because he has a contract)

Maybe so, but I don't think we should be ostracising any players at this stage of the season.

I don't think that he should be ostracised, he should be used when he is the best option, like anybody else on our books. I would just expect there to be at least five better options than him for his position for most of the rest of the season, at which point he'll be leaving us anyway.

Unless someones going to take Nzog, which is as unlikely as us signing Messi, why haven't we just threw him his dirty money and told him to do one. I can't stand the bloke.

I don't understand what's going on with N'Zogbia, why not just throw him in and see what he can do? I remember him coming on in one of Garde's earlier games (Man City?) when he looked a threat then he vanished again. Is he just a bad egg, or has he been thrown back into the bomb squad?
He isn't a bad player on his day and he might be worth using again. Christ what have we got to lose? He can't be any worse than any of the other jokers in the squad.

You can count the good games he's had for us on the fingers of one hand.

That would be disappointing over the course of one season. Over five years -and on the size of contract he's on- it's closer to theft.

There isn't much to take from this shit stain of a season, but if it marks the point when we finally sever ties with Nzog and Gabby, it won't be a complete waste.

There's a good player in N'zogbia when he can be arsed and Garde seems to have sussed that pretty quickly.

Contracts in the world of football end in June / July don't they?  If the rumours about his wages are to be believed, that means N'Zogbia has got the best part of a million quid still to milk from us before he departs.  No way he is going anywhere.

Not so sure.  I think Garde needs to let it be known that the cushy days riding the gravy train at Villa Park are over.  If that means making examples of people then so be it.

There's a good player in N'zogbia when he can be arsed and Garde seems to have sussed that pretty quickly.

Garde even commented to that effect saying that he probably hasn't been arsed for most of his Villa career. We have all given him chances to come through and so it on a regular basis. Add Gabby to this list too and most recently Grealish. They all have ability and talent when they can be arsed. Garde is the first manager to call their bluff and essentially tell them if they don't have the right attitude for the fight they will be on the outside looking in.

Garde strikes me as no nonsense but not in a bombastic way. Toms appointment Tactics might have launched a few under the bus but I get the impression Garde's bubbling under the surface derision cuts them far more.

Yet another laughable transfer window in true Randy Lerner fashion. Obvious that the club has accepted relegation. Well done Randy!

Not too sure what you mean by 'after Coopers'  but to save everyone reading another row, explain to me on pm.

No way! The rows are the best bit!

I really could understand and accept the criticism of what might or might not be being screwed up at the club if it were not for the fact that the making of the criticism seems to be done with such relish.

Pato isn't far off from joining Chelsea, so maybe that will free up Remy in the coming days.
