Crespo gone out on Loan for 6 months to Rayo Vallecano.
Just on Sky Transfer Centre.

I'm sure someone said at the time and it may have been Archie our Italian fan, that he'd been on loan at a Second Division Italian side and was crap.

So far we have managed to recall Cissokho to apparently solve our left back problem (and to be fair to him he's done well since returning) and brought no one else in.

We have however managed to put Joe Cole into a retirement home, sent Ilori back from whence he came and loan out Steer, Bennett, Crespo and Gardner - who between them have probably only played about 3-4 games between them all season - but not sure how much value this adds other than reducing the wage bill and freeing up space in the squad for potential reinforcements

Was hoping to have seen the likes of N'Zogbia and Senderos buggered off by now but no sign as yet of them leaving unfortunately.

Have I missed anything else?

Unless someones going to take Nzog, which is as unlikely as us signing Messi, why haven't we just threw him his dirty money and told him to do one. I can't stand the bloke.

How do we know he was crap? He hardly played. Is his situation that much different to Kozak who until very recently was essentially passed over and was on the verge of being sold?

I don't understand what's going on with N'Zogbia, why not just throw him in and see what he can do? I remember him coming on in one of Garde's earlier games (Man City?) when he looked a threat then he vanished again. Is he just a bad egg, or has he been thrown back into the bomb squad?
He isn't a bad player on his day and he might be worth using again. Christ what have we got to lose? He can't be any worse than any of the other jokers in the squad.

I just get the feeling that a player who played for a side who finished rock bottom last season and played most of his previous football in the Spanish and Italian second divisions who can't force his way in to a defence that can't tie their own shoelaces must be pretty dismal. I'm not quite sure what the scouts saw or what games they attended but Cordoba lost nearly every single game in 2015 and finished on -46. It wasn't a lot of money but again the transfer didn't and doesn't make any sense to me.

I think he's one of the bad eggs. Garde said his attitude wasn't the worst he's seen but could be better If I recall rightly, so a bit of a nice way of putting it that he couldn't give a shit. I wouldn't want him anywhere near young players or anyone you're trying to motivate, he's the complete antithesis of it.

Presumably he would be taking the place of either Gil or Ayew, so either from the start or from the bench I would say that yes, he most definitely could be worse than either of them. And has been dozens of times over the last few years.

This could be the Croatian version of the Birmingham Mail, but fingers crossed after Guzan's showing tonight.

I'd still like to see him given a chance in the bench at least. He can turn it on now and again, and let's face it both Gil and Ayew have been hit and miss at best.

For me he's had more than enough chances, and not shown enough to warrant any more.

Gil and Ayew have been "hit and miss" (although I'd say both more hit than miss since they've been given a chance to actually play), and Sinclair and Grealish have been more miss-than-hit recently.

But any of those four is still a better choice than "miss and miss" N'Zogbia, and all four of them have shown more for us in much less time than N'Zogbia has since he joined.

If you're saying that his day is the 29th of February then I agree.

Maybe so, but I don't think we should be ostracising any players at this stage of the season.
