...maybe Glenn Murray will be available though, he got 20 + in the championship a few seasons ago.
A bit like someone we already have?
At least Murray knows what those things at the end of his legs are used for.

I would get in 4 or 5 quality players, bring in the kids and get rid most of first team.

With Grabban and Afobe plus the money their owner has got I think they might sell.  Murray will certainly be up for sale and is a decent pro too but is cracking on. Although strikers have proven that 32-33 is not past it in the Championship and he seems to have a good character.

The lad at Walsall and the kid at Bolton are both likely available quite cheaply in relative terms and seem to have something about them.  Our forward line has been bereft of options for too long.

We're okay. Luke Moore is back training at the club so we can draft him in if required.

Makes me laugh when people say get rid of most of them, how exactly are we going to do that
We are bottom of the league if we don't want them why will anyone else bother to take them of our hands

we might get lucky with a couple of them , and could cancel the contracts of one or two who have six months to go, but we are going to have to find a way of getting more out of what we've got

We need a decent defensive midfielder, one whose not tiny or can't pass. I haven't a Scooby who really plays in the Chmpionship though, I know Barton is doing well so he doesn't have to be a world beater, just not a complete limp lettuce.

I think the only option is blood doping on a massive scale, because conventional methods are insufficient.

We may as well, if they find out they'll relegate us but hey, and we may also get the bonus of our players being banned from playing football.

It's a win win situation

Which lad at Walsall? I saw them at Brentford on Saturday and their no. 10 looked relatively tasty at that level.

Bamford hardly got a game on loan Palace, but looked decent during his time in the Championship.  I would try and get him on a season long loan next season if we are down there.  Get his Grandad to chuck a few quid in as well.

Evening Mail has us preparing a loan bid for Inler from Leicester.  Would be a good move as he is just the type we need.  Strong midfielder who has been captain of a decent international side.

Ayew will be gone, he is already attracting interest in this window let alone when we get relegated

Is he?

Can't remember where I read it about a week ago now (probably just paper talk) but it said that Spurs and two other PL clubs were interested.

Still comes down to the problem that we're only going to attract loans, foreign players in smaller leagues, lost causes, older premier players on free's and middling championship players now. If you look to rebuild for the championship now, then any good player at that level currently is probably hoping to go up anyway, or will hope a premiership side will take a punt on him in the summer. Once the top clubs have took their pick on those they fancy, THEN we can at least offer them more wages and a bigger stage than most of the rest of championship

I think a couple of loans is the best we can probably hope for in this window.  I would be disappointed if we used one of them on a right-back though.
