The main point in all this is if there needs to be a face to face Lerner should be coming over here. Sorry but I believe the man to be a Muppet he hasn't got a clue he knows F/all about football and the people he appoints seem to know less than him.

I reckon they are going over there to buy some lottery tickets to see if they can win $1.3B. Seems as plausible as every other plan they've had in past few years.

Maybe Lerner has summoned Fox & Almstadt for them to explain what's going on.

Why the fuck were they not out there a month a go, getting the budget set and finding players that could come last week??

Piss up. Brewery. Organise.

Sorry we have to fly to New York to discuss it. Use the fucking phone.

I assumed no action was taken because they'd accepted the inevitable, if that's not the case and they only think it's a crisis now then they truly are deluded.

Got to be careful not to overeact with the sales, Yes, you can count on a leper's hand the players who have impressed this season, BUT a lot of these players will be useful next year once some confidence has returned. If they were that shit they wouldn't have survived in the premiership upto now. The main problem is we went into the season with an inexperienced and timid midfield and no striker worthy of the name. Apart from 4 or 5  of them, i think we have, with a few additions, a decent promotion challenging side. I just hope we don't compound the problem and sign a new team on a lidl budget. Rarely works.
A very good post unfortunately spoiled by the use of an inappropriate  phrase.

To be fair he does claim to be a sick beggar.

I'm surprised he didn't say "Lepers have more balls than our current midfield".

Anyone else think we should have a go for Shelvey? Poor season at Swansea, clearly not happy, but would add a lot to our midfield IMO.
Yep, he would improve us...and we are not going to be signing any world beaters.

I just can't see why a crisis meeting about funds is needed unless Garde has said to them the playing staff is rotten you need to dig deep and let me sort it out or I am walking.

Have things got that bad, that they are already considering Garde's position?  In the picture of him walking to the coach on Saturday, he looked like a beaten man.

I get the feeling that Garde is angry with what is going on professionally from some of our players and when he see's the abuse going on, towards him too he's fucked off. I just think he wants to stay and start the rebuilding process though, it's just a lot of a bigger job than he expected and it needs to start sooner than he expected too.

Contracts being cancelled would be a decent way to start. Some of them are a complete embarrassment to us.

Sorry AJ but they have had CNZ here for how long, given Gabby a contract for more years than he has scored goals for the last 3 seasons these guys do not work to a pattern or scope that has the word common sense or best for the club in their dictionary.

We need real men in that team to shake the others up.Men that don@t spend half their time on twitter or Facebook Crouchy and Jonathan Walters are getable(if there is such a word)on loan. They are hardened pro's who know what is needed. Get that huge Polish reserve that Leicester played yesterday. We need a George Curtis type in the middle of our defence, that bloke will do. We also need a pacey winger who can cross a ball which might make Gestede useful.

But most of all we need a miracle and those are in short supply.

If you're a player and Villa make contact early on in the window do you:

A) Move hell and high water to get that contract signed ASAP so you can start the job of saving Aston Villa.

B) Keep your options open for the month as a better offer may arise.

C) Treat the call like an offer to claim back PPI and ask them to remove your number from their datatbase.

D) Watch that video of the players getting on the bus and think why on earth would I want to represent those idiotic twats.

If you answered A you need better representation.

If you answered B, C or D congratulations your reputation will remain untarnished by the poisonous viper pit that is Villa Park.

I could be wrong here, but seeing a few of the youngsters busting their gut for the shirt, no matter how limited they are, surely that would calm the unrest a little bit? Seeing Guzan, Richardson etc week in week out is not doing anyone any good.

We desperately need one, if not two of those types in midfield.

With the above in mind I think Veretout and Ayew who could have signed for Leicester in the summer must be even more pissed off than we are.
