Would you walk into this toxic situation if you had other offers? I know I wouldn't touch us with a barge pole unless we were paying way over the odds (which we know we won't be).

My worry is Garde won't plan to stick around so this window is even wasted preparing for next year. That really would be a disaster.

Gabby wouldn't do very well at the Albion. He would be up front on his own as they play 8 defenders, and it would be down to him to hold the ball up and bring others in to play. Unfortunately for him he couldn't trap a bag of cement.

I wouldn't be adverse to a few old hands brought in with one eye on next season. Someone mentioned Crouch earlier and if you gave him a contract till next May i wouldn't see a problem. He'd probably do a job this season, and would be capable of contributing next season as an old head. Still, i never thought in a millions year i'd ever type that. :0(
Old heads, we have a few Cissokho, Senderos, Crespo, Lescott, Richardson, Gabby Nzogbia and Hutton, most would struggle to get into any other PL team.

I'd listen to offers for any of this lot, not that there would be many. We need raking out.

You could probably put your house on him scoring against us though!  However, if we were to get a fee for him and off the wage bill then it's a no-brainer.

Not unlike himself. Get rid.

I'm taking the Agbonlahor story with a pinch of salt, £1.5 million? We'll be paying half his wages if he does the decent thing.

Agree Des and I don't think it is just the playing side of things either, it is more the attitude of the squad that needs to change.  Easier said than done, but I would look at shifting out Guzan, Richards, Lescott, Sanchez, Sinclair and Agbonlahor in the summer as well as letting go those out of contract (Cole, Richardson, Senderos etc).  We are a looking at a total rebuild and it is going to take time, which I fear means a prolonged stay in the Championship.

Read in a paper today that there are some clubs interested in Ayew (Palace mentioned) and he could be off if an asking price of £6m is met.  That price seems low to me and isn't it less than we paid for him?

Same paper also reporting that Bony could be available on loan until the end of the season.

Both stories sound nonsense. We're not going to sell a player for £3m less than when we brought him 4 months ago.

Yes  that would be great. Fecking clubs like Palace signing our better players....another new in humiliation.

Agree on the Ayew one, though I can see him attracting interest.  I would have thought he would be one of the very few of our players whose asking price would have gone up this season though, so £6m sounds low.

I could see the Bony one having a bit more legs, especially if they bring another forward in this transfer window.

Bony would have far better and more attractive offers than coming here.

He may prefer Swansea but I don't think they will want/need him so who else?
