Still don't think there is any point buying players now unless its loan deals. We're down  and why pay more for a player if he's willing to come, who will cost less in fee's and wages in May? Plus we could be left with another player who a new manager won't want. Atm i can't see any reason to believe Garde will still be in charge next season apart from a sympathy vote from Lerner. Trouble is i can't see us getting them now. It's hard enough to get good players in January if you're doing well and have a decent budget. Come May, at least we won't have the stench of doom wafting around, and decent ambitious players can see a promotion challenge as a a realistic target for Villa. Now, we either buy players for the championship which isn't really helping us or them now, or try and convince better players we have a hope of staying up. I know footballers as a rule aren't thought of as the sharpest knives in the drawer but Garde would be doing very well to find enough fuckwitts willing to join us with that gambit.

I don't see a team not trying if anything the stupid fouls like the pen today are evidence of trying too hard , desperate to get the ball back.What I see is a team mentally beaten before a ball is kicked.We need some players to come in to maybe drag the rest of them out of the mire.
