I'd be disappointed if we lost any of Ayew, Vertout, Grealish, Troare, Amavi and Gana.

That's the potential of a decent side right here. The rest are a total waste of space.

5. Forgot Amavi. Gana I would let go if we got our money back at the moment.

I agree with keeping those six.  I'd like to keep Gil, too.  He's one of our most creative players, packs a decent shot, can score the occasional stunning goal, but he's lightweight and I'm not sure what his best position is.  Bit like Shaun Maloney.  But I suspect he won't stick around for the Championship and he'll be off.

Problem is playing Gil and Grealish together without losing the balance of the side

I'd keep Okore as well, at least as a squad player.

anyway its not in our hands its in the players hands and we have zero influence over it so why be bothered by it?

It's a good point, but it does kind of beg the question why you bother supporting a football club at all, let alone post on a mesage board about one...??

there is thing called freedom of speech and having an opinion

i have a st and have followed the villa for 40 years and will say what i like

dont start with i am a better fan than yow because what i say is right and what yow say isnt

you are bothered by our points totatl and im not, so what?

Bizarre. I don't even know where to start. I'm not for a second claiming to be a "better an" than anyone, i just can't understand the point you trying to make? To clarify, you're asking me why the demise of the football club that I support and love bothers me, right....?

This is probably not the thread for it in fairness, but for our fans that go to away games and homes games week in week out, a few wins between now and May can only be a good thing. The idea of not caring if we win again is a strange one, I have become numb to losing each week, but would still love us to win a few games despite it not really mattering. I enjoy a win in pre-season, let alone a competitive game.

We are being linked with Lamine Kone from Lorient who Sunderland were in talks with and seem to have changed their mind on in favour of a big German fella. If Lescott is going then an incoming centre half would make sense.

Very disappointed with Gana. May as well have Downing as our enforcer.

I think Amavi's injury is the only thing that will keep him at VP next season. It's an ill wind.......

Unless I misheard the commentator I believe Stoke have a player called Wellshite. If ever there was a player ideal for this team...

I'm not bothered whether you're bothered, that's your prerogative. I must admit I'm bothered though, if we finish with less than Derby did in '08 I'd be very bothered.

Forgot him too.

Wenger had said there is nothing to really report on Debuchy

Wenger said he'd had no contact with anyone, which was a bit strange as Garde said he'd spoken to him in his press conference yesterday.

Someone's telling porkies then. Not sure a right back is priority myself, considering we have Richards that can play there, Hutton is not great but better than some in the team and we haven't even tried Crespo there yet.
