Anyone take Kevin Nolan?

Delivered to Villa Park in his coffin? He's finished mate, ask any West Ham fan he is completely shot.

Agreed. In the same boat as Lescott and Richardson, Cole and Senderos.
And from what we've seen this season, Richards, Hutton and Guzan.

Why does Hutton always get thrown in with comments like this?  He's been one of the few players who has been pretty good for us over the last two years.

No he hasn't. He's one of the reasons why we are going down. Just because he tries his best doesn't mean he's been, as you call it "pretty good"

He's a liability of a player who should of been moved on years ago, not rewarded after a few mediocre performances. In fact, he should of never been brought to the club in the first place. Absolute heap of stinking shit player, if he's of premier standard then we all could of made it.

Leicester are in for Nigel De Jong. 1, he would have been a great signing last summer to give us some bite in midfield but 2. it might free up Inler, who looks the sort I would try and convince to come and lead the Garde era in a similar way he did for Wenger.

With all due respect to Leicester, I would have thought bigger clubs than them across Europe would be in for him, especially if the quoted price of £2m is correct.

Trouble with Nolan is that he is one of those players that you almost have to build your team around, and he's just not good enough for that.  He's not able to play in the centre midfield as he's a liability, he can't play up front, he needs to play as a 5th midfielder almost to give him the freedom to go forward without leaving you exposed.  I'd say that in Grealish and Gil we've got two players already that would suit that role better than him.

Nolan is not the type of player that will bring anything for us, of all of the positions and weaknesses in the team at present, attacking midfielders are not one of them.

The phrase, flatter to deceive was invented for him, any one scarper off down the wing looking mildly menacing, that is until you have to do something with the football.

Yep.  If we are going to go forward with the tactic of using full-backs in an attacking weapon then we need better than Hutton.  I am struggling to remember the last time he provided an assist from a cross.

Hughie Green is better than Guzan (The Nazi-sympathising father of Paula Yates, for those under 40).

And I mean that most sincerely, folks.

Benny Green is better than Guzan, and he's not only a fictional character from Grange Hill, but also dead in real life too.

Al Green is better than all of them at a time like this where the message needs to be Let's Stay Together.

I reckon our own Brian Green could do a job as rush-back goalie
