Why no players in already, I think we all know! No cash again or no forward planning?

i think it will be an underwhelming window, maybe a couple of foreign signings any decent british based players will avoid us like the plague

Some will. But others that know they are in that limbo where they are to good for the Championship and not quite good enough for the prem will still come simply because we are Aston Villa and there is an ego thing.

8:30am on one of the first working days of the year - tough customer!

It's going to be interesting - if I was sat in Cleveland, I'd be thinking, bollocks to it.

Because we now have a transfer committee as part of our structure, which has at least two months to debate our awfull league position.  I would have expected two signings straight away, nothing !  This signifies to me that the senior management have accepted relegation.

I think questioning the lack of new signing just over 48 hours into a transfer window is a bit over the top imo.

Yes, ridiculous criticisms. I'm sure there's plenty to blame them for but this isn't one of them.

Let's face it, we're over a barrel in this window. I'm not even sure if it's worth spunking money on short term signings till May. We're gone, I'm more worried about next season now tbh.

There are not too many clubs a player can join and be watched by 36,000 fans every week and with expectations as low as ours, I still think we are a catch to the right kind of players with a decent attitude if we sort ourselves out.

Someone in before the Palace game is a must, the whole team needs a lift and theres no one on the books at the moment capable of it. But it will signal whether we have truly raised the white flag by who and how many we do attract.

Er excuse me but it aint ridiculous ffs bournemouth had a fuckin player signed three days before window opened. The usual villa fans acceptance of shit again .garde has been here two months and should have lined up players on 00.01 of the window opening, spose more panic buys at 11.30 on jan 31st it is then ffs I give up.

I'm sure he has lined them up. But who is going to jump at the chance at joining Villa? Which team are not going to think, 'Villa are desperate, lets add another few million to the fee'? Just because we want and need players, doesn't mean Garde has just woken up this morning knowing that there was something he was supposed to do and that he has simply forgotten what.
