Good call on Dwight Gayle, think we'd have our pants pulled down with the price though.

Yes I mentioned him elsewhere. Somebody up front who is direct and quick, to go with two wide players. Hopefully Ayew remains as one, but if not, the money we'd get for him should buy us a couple fast wide men to go with Traore and Sinclair in the squad.

I like Dwight Gayle. If we could get him on loan note with the option to buy it would be worth doing. Another ex Palace but with them signing others I think Glenn Murray would be a fairly decent signing in the summer. Scores goals at that level and is a half decent target man.

Bloody hell. Dwight Gayle is a poor player. Thankfully he may be the player we need for next season.

Dwight Gayle is now in our realistic talent pool. That's how it is when as a destination for quality footballers you're about as appealing as a cup of cold sick.

Anyone care to guess the date for our first Garde signing? I reckon about the 15th Jan.

Haven't a clue but this Kharzi fella is another attacking midfielder which is not really that important for us, unless we plan on buying an entire new team this window.

A 'keeper and a goalscorer would be my priority. Might turn some of these draws into wins to give us some momentum second half of the season.

We are being linked with a big Croatian keeper. I have a thing about wanting my keepers to be big buggers. Apparently he is 6" 7 and having a good season wherever he is. If he can stop a ball at the near post he will do for me.

I actually think a winger is needed if they are hard working and can get the ball to the strikers. Adama showed is ten minutes the fruit of actually crossing at the weekend buy also mid controlled about 6 times in ten minutes and was a passenger without the ball.

Watched the Palace game and Jedinak was subbed off if he is the answer to our problems we may as well start following a different sport.

Midfield
Personally would like the likes of inler, debaucy ,  naismith, campbell and Remy but also looking at some squads in prem league here are some viable options-

Darren Gibson. He's needing games for euros and isn't making Everton line up or even bench today. He's good enough for midfield, pretty cultured and can be tigerish. Won't be able to break into team.

Osman if he harbours any hopes for England could come and help link attack great work ethic experienced prem player.

Similarly Ryan Mason Spurs loan him for the rest of term. He's behind in midfield pecking order .

Goffran has been decent in his time and Garde would be familiar

Loftus -Cheek solid Chelsea up and coming good physicality loan?

Jordi Gomez decent footballer, set piece player isn't in big same side knows a relegation battle.

Gibson, Osman, Mason, goffran, loftus-cheek. Along with inler or toulalan.

Strikers / attackers some thoughts
Yan kermogant is decent hold up and big striker not getting look in at Bournemouth and he's french he would do a link up job with ayew.
The young nigerian lad at Manchester city us real goal getter loan him iheanhaneo and Patrick Roberts highly rated would be considerable loan options.
Diamanti at Watford
Armfalitio on a free.

Austin , foresteri , afobe or dembele are good goal scorers in championship and would add goals to villa.
Jamie Mackie fights for cause and is decent pro
