Out    Gabby, Nzogbia, Cole, Crespo, Steer. Kozak, Llori, for starters, Richards will not hang about once we are down nor will some of the better players who will be picked off in the summer. Who would join us in our current position? Who wants a relegation on your CV Remy, no chance. I think if I was delivering the daily paper or the milk to VP I think I would be asking for cash up front.

The transfer window had changed in the last couple of weeks
If we were 6 points or so of safety, then go out and try and bring in a striker to give us a chance of staying up

As we are 11 points + goal difference adrift and no hope of anything changing soon our mindset has to be different
We don't need now to be spending bucket loads of money, we need to prepare for the championship, and start to bring in players for that challenge whilst giving players on the fringes a go see what they can do

If we start bringing players into the mire we curerently find ourselves in then we risk their confidence being shattered as well.  I agree with the second part of the sentence in bold though - use the rest of the season to evaluate the whole playing squad and see who we should be retaining.

Garde could do with copying the approach the much vaunted college American Football coach Urban Meyer has to team problems.  I've heard him say that he draws up a list which identifies players who are 'a part of the problem' and those who are 'a part of the solution'.  I guess it is easier to do at that level of sport, but he simply discards those who he sees as part of the problem and invests time in those he feels are part of the solution.  I wonder what our list would look like?

Destroy them? I think they would get a good crack of the whip from the support that's had to watch the incompetent multi millionaires weekly failing at the moment. The pressure is off, we are down, it's not like we are in the thick of a battle any more battling for every valuable point, we need a fucking miracle which isn't going to happen. Bite the bullet and start the planning now for the shitehouse division we find ourselves in next season.

Surely Gestede & Sinclair going on previous evidence will score goals aplenty in the Championship.

They've both had 1 really good season and that's it. I wouldn't trust either of them and would rather we rebuild without shite like them. Sinclair looks like he can't be arsed and Rudy is a pantomime horse.

if they are good enough they are old enough, vassell, hendrie, samuel, the moore brothers all played well before 21

half of our kids will be 25 and fathers and we will still be saying the arent ready.

this is the opportunity to see if they are good enough, if they are fine if not get them loaned out or sold

What if we simply don't have many good ones? Lyden should have a shot in midfield, but then we should also be giving Gardner a run too if he is fit.

We don't really know if they are terrible or not do we. They aren't given a shot and aren't spoken about. We don't really have any communication from the club about anything.

Beyond match reports of the games, is there more that they can communicate? Are there still features in the official programme about the kids coming through.

That Jordan Graham lad looks a player at Wolves.

Why isn't Kozak specifically being selected? What is happening behind the scenes that make him unpickable?
What is Gardeners injury and what is the projected return date?
Is Ilori alive?
Are any of the u21 players close to getting selected?

Just some basics like that would be appreciated.

You can hardly expect the club to come out and talk about why some players can't get a game, it doesn't quite work like that.

i have a feeling that they arent good enough you have to question why we have an academy as grealish apart in 4 seasons we have seen no one else come through

with all the will in the world gardner is too injury prone to ever play at the top level

Isn't the role of the local press to ask those questions, and do articles and research on that. Interesting stories about the youth coming through, question the club as to where the production line has gone, why Kozak is not in, where Gardner and Ilori are for example. Surely they should be doing those articles regularly, not the club.
