According to the Sunday Sun so undoubtedly bullshit.

Gabriel Agbonlahor is set to leave Aston Villa in a cut-price £3m move to the United Arab Emirates, where three clubs are reported to have interest in the striker

I take it they are nightclubs rather than football clubs?

Gabby probably thinks that the UAE is out by Coleshill or Marston Green as opposed to the Middle East of the fucking world.

just tell him there is a nandos there and it will be fine
Luckily there is a Nandos in one of the shopping malls in Dubai.

Any links to more fullbacks? Bacuna and Hutton are wank.

Sunday Star

Aston Villa will offer QPR £8m for striker Charlie Austin, 26, in the January transfer window.

This'll annoy me. We had all summer to get him.

never goin to happen

well documented austin has said he wont go to a team fighting relegation

plus he waits until the end of the season he is a free agent

Larf. Aye, that's possibly the definition of mission impossible to persuade him to come here. We can offer him literally nothing.

A load of cash and a favourable release clause = can't lose for him.

The thought of swapping Gabby for Austin and £5M net is intoxicating.

Footstamper, I'll admit in the summer I wasn't keen on signing Austin, but in hindsight him + an extra £6-8M instead of Gestede would almost certainly have been good business, despite all conventional wisdom saying £12-14M, which I seem to recall being the figures being bandied about, being way too much to pay.

Bollocks, means I owe silhil an apology on that one, as it looks like he actually called something right on that one.

bugger me why would austin want to come?

his goals to games ratio would turn to shit and money wise he can be a free agent in the summer and get a massive signing on fee

the clue is in his statement: "i dont want to go to a club battling relegation"

I'm not saying that we could sign Austin I realy don't know

But why do people keep on believing what footballers say, I would have thought our experience with Delph went to show you can't believe a word most of them say so it's best not believing anything

So I don't give a damn what he said about relegation sides I bet there would be a way of changing his mind if we wanted too which would probably involve lots of cash which I doubt we will do

At the moment, I'd say we're giving it a big hug and thinking about inviting it in for a nightcap.

More sort of pavement dancing without any real intention of letting it get anywhere near actual fisticuffs.

From the other side of the street.

Which us actually the Hagley Road.

During rush hour.

That's so out of date, we've whatsapp'd it inviting it round to "netflix and chill".

We're battling a deep-rooted malaise. We've been badly run now for several years and the result is a squad riddled with players who probably don't give a fuck about the club.

Guzan - knows he is going to be replaced ASAP
Hutton - ex bomb squad.
Richards - Sherwood's boy
Steer - who he?
Ilori - ditto
Crespo - ditto
Senderos - ditto
Kozak - ditto
Baker - on the naughty step
Cissokho - ditto
Bennett - ditto
Cole - ditto
Agbonlahor - doesn't seem to give a fuck
N'Zogbia - ditto

In the last few years we have seen the following recruited and then discarded: Lowton, Stevens, Luna, Sylla, El Ahmadi, Tonev, Holman. Makoun, Helenius, Bowery.

We are arguably the biggest club in the second city yet we are being outperformed by the likes of Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, West Brom, Stoke and Swansea.

We're a clusterfuck not overseen by our illustrious leader Mr Lerner.

You're not going to get £20 million for a player with a month of good performances behind him and which mythical two in three striker would join us now?

Already said i 'd take Remy on loan and while not perhaps 2 in 3, i think he'd give us something we haven't had for a long while.  A direct striker. He'd probably suit Gestade for a start. Obviously them 2 and ayew would be preferable

The Ayew you want to sell?

No, please don't answer that. It's late. Merry Christmas.

I'd bloody keep him. I thought i'd made that clear. but considering we're 20m short of a premiership side, god knows how many points from safety, and Lerner isn't gonna bail us out, there are times when,  y'know...

A Merry Christmas to you as well. I'm not religious so don't celebrate it, but a Happy christmas to all Godbotherers on here

Lovely. While I am non religious too, there is no need for the latter insult to those who are.

To be fair if there are one group of people who are deserving of at least our scorn and derision tis those that adhere noisily to any religion?

Good-natured fun-poking is all fine and well, and you can be as rude as you like about the beliefs and ideas themselves. However, having 'scorn' for 'godbotherers', the actual people, just strikes me as a bit dickish.

1. I think I'll pass thanks. It would probably prove to be one of these internet extortion scams I hear about.

2. Well if he's half as good as he thinks he is he'll do OK if Ayew, who most people say isn't suited to playing down the middle, has managed is it 5 in 13 since he got his first against Swansea or 3 in 7 under Garde.

3. Footballer makes statement that can be ignored the moment his head gets turned by more money/better offer/ agent wants his next 10% shocker.

Give him the right get of jail card if (when) the worst happens and there's no reason why you couldn't tempt him.

Richards apart perhaps, you could have just put 'not good enough' and dittoed the rest.
