Don't get me wrong, I'm not having a go at all, I really want this to work out for you because I think the section can have the effect of pulling up the spirits of the rest of the crowd when things aren't going so well and right now we need that big time.  That's why I really want you to work with the club as much as possible on this.  Sunday looks heavy-handed but without context it's hard to know how it got to that point that's why I'm asking what has happened until now.  I don't have a solution to offer but I think you'll have a much better chance of finding one if you make it very clear to the club all along that you wanty to work with them and find a way to do what you do that doesn't upset other fans or get the club in trouble over the ground regulations. If you can get someone with a good reputation with the club onside and show that you're trying to do the right thing it will help.

Just to clear a couple of things up. Brigada have been in discussions with the club and have been told that they can only stand when they see others standing in the Holte End, so the group are supposed to wait for others to stand before doing so.

I don't particularly have any dog in this fight, but that sounds like a pretty half-arsed solution for them to have come up with.

Yeah. I really do not like people standing up in front of me but I have no idea how anyone is meant to interpret the "its ok if you see other people doing it" rule. I mean thats just nuts.

The stewards and police continued to move in for Brigada yesterday when loads of non- Brigaga fans were standing in that area. From where I am nearby in The Holte at the moment, I cannot see the club keeping their part of the deal.

Although I have campaigned for safe standing, I have tried to remain balanced on the issue and always consider the law/regulations and how we have to work with them, but sitting is being over enforced on this particular group of fans. Others were standing and not being talked to. On top of this is appears that they has been told that others standing was an unofficial go ahead to stand, and yet in the event, it wasn't.

I've been going in the North Stand Lower for a few years now and can't honestly remember the last time I didn't stand throughout the game (not by choice, just that everyone else around stands as well).  I haven't seen any stewards in there warning people, let alone throwing anyone out.

My son and I have been season ticket holders in the lower North for a few years now and as a Holte Ender for many years I have no problems with people standing. I used to worry about my son seeing the game but as he is now taller than me it isn't a problem. There has however been a period in the last twelve months when I was struggling to stand up for any length of time and struggled to stand up/sit down so I do have sympathy with people who have problems like that.

They probably need to put it like that to maintain their "Garde is a terrible appointment" narrative.

After the game Vincent Kompany said we were the better team in the first half, but they were more dangerous.

That sounds pretty fair. We played some good football but City created the more dangerous chances.
