Both sets of Manc fans appear to have the same twat gene. Just that the blue one has been hidden for much longer...

City fans are a right bunch of self glorifying arseholes. It wasn't that long ago they were in the lower leagues, could always ask them what the championship is like.!? I'm sure it's not changed much from there days.
You'd think they would have a little bit more of a reality gene and keep in mind that all there 'glory' is from a lottery win

Back to the game. First 45 thought we were superb. Second half was always going to be backs to the wall in some regards after city's post half time bollocking.
Like what I hear and see from Garde already. Hope we push on from this now. A couple of additions in Jan and sure we can pull away.

I do wonder what went through Sherwood's head that he'd never consider putting today's team out. It's very strange.

I thought it was a superb team performance, great to see a team properly organised. The two centre backs were superb, thought the middle three were excellent, Vertout is lucky to get a game lol. My MOTM goes to Sanchez, he was so disciplined in his job and kept everything together. Where the feck was Richardson though, that Amavi is shit :-(

Great performance.  I think we'll struggle to score goals until we hopefully strengthen in January, but today we played our best players in our their best positions and we gave the best team in the country a very good game.  It just shows what a cockweasel Sherwood was that a brand new manager could get a performance out of the players that was 50% better than anything we've seen this season so far.

Because ez, he was a man more interested in asserting himself than doing the simple obvious thing. His ego would not allow him to do what others knew to be straightforward like playing your best players in their best positions.

Garde did what I hoped regarding selection and achieved a massive improvement simply by applying common sense management. It just makes me all the more angry that we let a shyster piss away so many points with his idiocy and failure to grasp the basics.  A good foundation stone but a long way to go.

Gil is a belting player as well, if we can get Grealish up to speed we'll be in a great position.

According to the Manchester Evening News' website, Delph is quoted as saying that the support from the €iteh fans was so noisy he couldn't hear any hissing.

I guess it's a case of once a liar, always a liar...

He is a f*cking  spunk trumpet of the highest order.Enjoy your cameo appearance of 12 minutes , might be the longest time you spend on the pitch in a league game.F*cking snake.

Also: there must be something in the tapwater at the Etihad because the whole Citeh squad are built like professional wrestlers. Even that cheating little twat Sterling looks more like a rugby league scrum half than a footballer. As for Yaya Toure, he's the largest man I have ever seen on the VP pitch.

Are you forgetting about Grant Holt?

John Carew remains the biggest man that I have ever seen stretch a shirt for the Villa. He is fucking huge! imagine him barrelling towards you, you would shit yourself!

At last we have shown some spirit, organisation and application.  We have stopped the rot.  But it's still a long way back from here.  It's a sobering thought that the measure of our shit-ness to date is reflected in the fact that it's taken us until the first weekend in November to take a point off a team not currently in the relegation zone.

Bit before most of you but Nigel Sims was the biggest Villa player I have ever seen. Twenty stone at his biggest. Fatty Foukes the Chelsea goalie was even bigger according to my brother but I never saw him.

Quite amusing listening to Richards and CLark in the post-match interview - they're really trying to be polite on questions about how Garde has changed things already at the club. The most telling comment came from Clark - he said "I think you could see it on the pitch, we were much more organised" (or words very similar to that).

Absolutely.... it was great.   Maintaining a modicum of diplomacy whilst implying thank f*** that mouthy idiot has gone and now we have a boss who actually knows what he's doing.

When I saw the line-up I was thrilled. No Gabby, No Lescott, No Westwood, No Richardson.

I thought Gil was very good today.

It's amazing how much picking your best players and getting them playing to a system can improve you.

As Drummond said above, seeing those players not starting the match lifted my spirits from the off.
