I think today could be a massive game for the team, who let's not forget are mostly new to each other, let alone the league. A big, gutsy performance with the result to go with it, with our fans making all the noise they could for them, could have a binding effect on them as a team.

If we can carry that forward, I think we could see mid-table form which would see us safe, I think. There are teams there, Norwich and Bournemouth for instance, who look due a very big dip, and we'll be there to capitalise when they do I think.

Bouremouth will finish bottom imo, they've been on a downer since Wilson got injured at Stoke which is understandable as their whole attacking game plan revolved around him.

Annoying Norwich won yesterday as their next two are Chelsea and Arsenal, they seem capable of putting aside bad form and winning the six pointers which dosen't bode well for us.

Great start Remi, missed the whole game so I can't judge too much. The comments on here seem very positive.

Love your quote after the match, now my adopted signature.

Compared to what has gone before, that was excellent, a Villa team that actually looked as if they knew what they were doing and for once the gods were on our side. At the end of the match the neutrals in the White Horsr were all saying that isn’t a bottom of the table side
Onwards and upwards.

They are owned by the rulers of a mysoginist, homophobic, brutal, repressive regime. Any arguments about morals by them has been lost before we even start.

Doesn't everyone beat Chelsea nowadays? (Except Sherwood !!)

Having found that pic on Blue Moon I read the first 10 pages or so of their post-match thread. It's very very funny.

Yeah because we can all see Stan in the press box can't we? Twats. Let's gloss over your owners and the regime they represent and highlight some bloke giving Fabian Delph the thumbs down!

How did those of you watching on TV  saw the Gestede/Hart throw in incidents. From upper Witton End I saw it as the throw back was a bit harsh but Hart could have left it rather than trying to play it and giving the corner away? City players going mad I did not understand however fair play to Kompany who told them to get on with it.

I thought Gestede was trying to throw it out for a goalkick. A bit dicky, but nothing to justify the way that some City fans have lost their minds over it.

Watching it on TV Gested was pointing Hart towards his area as if he wanted to throw it there. Why Hart decided to insist on receiving the ball where he was seems strange, tough shit if he couldn't control it.

I take it you're referring to Rudy's brilliant throw in. It's a bit scary that England's first choice goalkeeper doesn't understand the rule of Association Football. :D

Hart was tapping his chest as if to tell Rudy he wanted to receive it, chest it down and whack it.
Rudy did exactly what Hart wanted, but with a little bit more pace than Hart was expecting.
Oh well, tough shit.
