as said above, the majority of sides that have as shit a start as we have tend to do that because they are shite, the players are shite so it doesn't matter who the manager is they will be shite over all 38 games. We showed today that we have a number of players that aren't shite, they've just been grossly mismanaged and coached.

I think today could be a massive game for the team, who let's not forget are mostly new to each other, let alone the league. A big, gutsy performance with the result to go with it, with our fans making all the noise they could for them, could have a binding effect on them as a team.

If we can carry that forward, I think we could see mid-table form which would see us safe, I think. There are teams there, Norwich and Bournemouth for instance, who look due a very big dip, and we'll be there to capitalise when they do I think.

How did those of you watching on TV  saw the Gestede/Hart throw in incidents. From upper Witton End I saw it as the throw back was a bit harsh but Hart could have left it rather than trying to play it and giving the corner away? City players going mad I did not understand however fair play to Kompany who told them to get on with it.

I thought Gestede was trying to throw it out for a goalkick. A bit dicky, but nothing to justify the way that some City fans have lost their minds over it.

I was in the Holte and it was obvious Rudy was going to try and throw it out for a goal kick. Hart tried to be clever and keep it in play and gave away a corner. Not the greatest sportmanship from us, but we were ultimately trying to give them the ball back.

Nice to see the team coming towards the Holte End after the game to show their appreciation too. We're all in it together - someone else said that but he was just a lying toff - we actually are all in it together

Gestede and Hart were talking before it. Gestede seemed to know what he was doing, the throw-in had a bit of whip on it and seemed to be aimed at Hart's legs. Not very good sportsmanship but in our position I really didn't give a shit and too often we're the nice guy when we could do with a bit of aggression. It's a shame Gestede's flick from the resulting corner didn't drop in and really cause a stir.

Very, very pleased.
It's nice to come home and be upbeat about our performance.
I thought Sinclair worked tirelessly, Guzan looked very short of confidence but grew as the game progressed, and Hutton - well for the second game running he's making me eat humble pie. I was very impressed with him. Everyone seemed to play for each other and took responsibility for each other.

All I hope for is all of our foreign legion come back fit from the international break.

Just one other thing - I was so proud of the way our service personnel were applauded.
This kind of thing sets us apart from others

To be honest it's about as much as Gestede did when he came on. Harsh to judge him too much on that, but there was one moment where Veretout won the ball and was running through the middle with Gestede to his left, and what he really needed was a runner in the inside-left channel to receive the pass. Instead, Rudy was so unbelievably slow that he was forced to check to his right, and was tackled.

I thought Sanchez today looked like the player we though he might be when we signed him.

Certainly more positives than negatives today.

A much more organised and disciplined display and that point could be so crucial.

Interesting image on twitter of Collymore giving Delph the bird when he came on from the press area.
