The gulf in the glass is the only thing that keeps me going these days!
I can see through what your doing

Leave him alone. He's doing just fine making a spectacle of himself.
Don't say things like that. You will shatter his confidence

I'd play 5 in midfield versus Man City including two wingers. Two up front would leave us way too open.

Yep or the other option would be to play a tight four in midfield.  Hindsight is wonderful, but that is probably what we should have done in the FA Cup final - have two defensive midfielders and two tucked in.  Teams like Manchester City absolutely destroy you if they get time and space in between your midfield and defence, so we need to make sure they don't.  It might limit us going forward, but it should make it more difficult for them.

Even if we were playing well I'd still think we would lose this one, 1-3 City, however I just hope that after 10/15 minutes or so I can think aaaaagh yes so that's what we're trying to do, because I haven't had a bloody clue for the past couple of months.

It would be nice to look at a team sheet and think it hasn't been chosen with any hidden agendas or points to prove. Everyone given a fair shot.

Can't see the new manager bounce kicking in this weekend. 1-3.

I honestly think it would be the most Aston Villa thing ever for us to actually win this game. It really is the sort of thing I can imagine happening, we're that much of a bewildering club in recent years.

Anyway, 0-3 defeat.

Villa are so counter-intuitive, they do the opposite of what you don't expect them to do.

Didn't we win the last time we had a French manager for a game vs Man City at Villa Park? I'm going for a surprise win 1-0.
