They're going to tear us a new arsehole.
I'd rather they didn't.

I think Remi might have a plan.

Well we gave them one at the start of the season in the shape of a snake.

The new regime has me all excited again, so I'm going for a Villa win. 3-2 Ayew, Sinclair (2). De Breuyne and Sterling for them.

Norwich gave this lot a right game of it last weekend, hopefully we can do likewise. Will be very interesting to see what kind of time Garde puts together.

I'm hoping it will be mobile and well balanced.

---------------Bunn
Hutton, Richards, Clark, Amavi
--------Sanchez, Gueye-----
-----Traore, Veretout, Gil
-------------Ayew------------

subs - Guzan, Crespo, Richardson, Westwood, Bacuna, Gestede, Grealish

Hard fought draw. 1-1 and green shoots of optimism spotted.

I know he comes highly rated, but it's a bit unfair to start comparing him to Fergie already! 😁

Was really looking forward to this one in the summer when you know who left, tremendous atmosphere at Vp and a chance to turn them over.

Now it all looks a damp squib to me, top v bottom and d*lph will probably get a 5 minute run out at the end when half the ground is empty.

0-3.

Another thumping. Our squad/team will be sadly exposed in this company. The one hope is they might go a bit easy due to their European game.

Us 2 Them 1. The return to greatness begins. And Hutton absolutely clatters Delph late on.

I predict a meltdown on here if Gabby, Westwood and Richardson take the field

and rightly so..

What a tough game for Remi to start his tenure. I already know we'll give them a few goals, I just hope we can bag a couple ourselves. I know I should be excited about a new manager on board but I've just really lost interest at the moment.  :-\

As much as I don't want Gabby to play we have to trust the manager in the team he selects. These players will either start to play well and keep their places or eliminate themselves naturally. Gabby certainly didn't help himself yesterday, but that could be said of a few of them. I am hoping though that between Randy's comments about the large investments made in players over the summer, whatever discussion Garde has had with Randy and Tom Fox regarding objectives and what he has seen with his own eyes will lead to the correct team decisions. I certainly however would hope to see Ayew start over Gabby and Gil come in with Gana returning for starters.

A badly needed draw to stop the rot, 2-2 with a late Gestede header after coming off the bench.

I'd love to see a midfield of;

       Sanchez  Gueye

Gil.        Veretout.     Grealish

                Ayew

Agree and I'd be fine with Sinclair instead of Grealish too. Traore, Kozak and Gestede on the bench.
