Unless Garde is one of footballs great managers we are sunk, this set of players is shit. Complete shit.

None can defend. None are good in the air. No one really tackles well. No one beats a man. No one can pick a pass. No one has a shot on them. None are particularly quick.

Apart from that, though?

Some of them can point fairly well.

I think Gana could be a good professional at this level. Hopefully Remi can get more out of Veretout. Other than that..  :-\

That's what I see too.

Somebody said earlier that this is worst villa side they can remember.  Me too.  I can't remember much about the 87 side, mid you.

Remember when we drew at home with Stoke and McLeish punched the air?

Turns out, that was a Golden Age.

Grealish would love a 36% pass completion rate

Grealish needs a spell out of the side, offers absolutely nothing.

First team training at Bodymoor - turning rough diamonds into lumps of coal since I can't even remember any more.

Clark was looking better as recently as last season. Guzan has also looked good in the past. He used to come for crosses, he was actually pretty dominant.

They've gone backwards at a rate of knots. Why?

Yeah - but apart from all that, we've got a decent, underperforming squad according to some folk. Hope springs eternal...

Remember when we thought Clark was going to be good?

A fair number of people were calling for him to start ahead of Lescott only last week.

Which tells you everything you need to know about how bad Lescott has been. It's a battle between who has made the least massive fuck ups.

If you watch "Tactical Cam" you can see the whole pitch at once.

Lloris is smoking a cigar.

are any of our players visible using that view?

Another poor ball by Jack. He may need to learn from now on he may get picked on ability rather than hype

I am struggling to recall the last time Villa made me feel this ill.

Watching this, it is so depressing, I'm developing flu-like symptoms.

This is utterly, utterly wretched.

It's like slowly inhaling vomit.
