That line-up isn't far off the McLeish one for utter shitness. Thank fuck KMac won't be picking any more teams.

Ayew must be gutted, he does well and scores against Swansea and then is dropped for next two games. It's a disgustingly poor line up that has a cliched jingoistic sentiment of 'we need the British boys in there to show character.' If that is KMac's attitude I'd be tempted to remove him from any role within the club, we don't need that sort of mindset at the club.

Chances are he suspects himself he may be gone in the next few weeks.  Doesn't excuse such a poor line up though.

I can only think KMac is doing the same. Only rational explanation for this line-up.

Prove me wrong lads etc

Is there any point watching the game with that awful, predictable selection.

Well that team sheet does not exactly inspire. Still we shall see. I imagine Remi's gaulois dropped out of his mouth when he saw it.

I expect a LOT of changes at half time after Remi walks down and has a word.

Sadly we will only be allowed to make three!

It seems we fans have been far more impressed with the summer signings than any of the coaches at the club, and anyone working in the mainstream media.

What the fuck do we know, eh?

For example, any manager worth his salt is obviously going to pick Kieron "Maldini" Richardson ahead of a bright young talent who's come from Ligue 1 and must therefore spend three seasons playing in empty stadiums against Leicester reserves before "acclimatising" to the Premier League, which is absolutely the best league in the world and pisses over those talentless Spaniards and Germans, not to mention the useless French and Italians.

Seeing that line up is exactly the reason why I am glad we've gone for a foreign manager.  Lose tonight and K-Mac can another shit record to the ever mounting list - it will be the worse start to a season in our history.

possibility of a bit of a rift in the dressing room
brits v French
Richards alluded to it at the weekend with his comments about speaking English
does make you wonder

If Sherwood had picked that team we'd all be saying he's done it intentionally because he wants to get fired.

I'm wondering if KMac actually called Sherwood to choose the team. KMac seemed very bitter about Sherwood being sacked, rather than independently demonstrate his footballing brain and knowledge, he appears to be throwing petrol on the fire. Maybe the rumours were true about Sherwood losing the dressing room and KMac is punishing the rebels.

Whatever may have happened, that is one shocking line up.

True. I hope to look like a twat after the game by saying this now but Kmac has put us in a hole from kickoff with that selection.

I agree re the suspicion of a rift between the French players and the dressing room. Is Gana injured by the way?
