Grealish needs to play on the wing. Get him one on one with the full back and he does him every time. If we get the ball to him quick enough and get men in the box, he can create chance after chance.

Grealish is overrated.

Is he? Who by? He seems to get loads of unwarranted stick on here.

i don't tell my 7 yr old lad when Villa are playing anymore because i'm fed up seeing the disappointment in his face when he asks me the result later. He should know Villa are playing in the cup tonight but i haven't the heart to tell him cos he'll want to know the score when he wakes up. Hells bells it's tragic being a Villa fan these days.

same here. He only knows we've played when we win which is once in a blue moon.

we are fucking useless

Grealish is overrated.

I don't think he is. I think he's been playing in a shit team, under a shit manager who started going on about him being a n°10 and putting too much responsibility on his shoulders, then giving him carthorses like Gabby and Gestede to link up with.

He can dribble while protecting the ball and beat a man almost at will. If he was playing for Arsenal or someone, he'd look amazing.

According to the Beeb Southampton have had just 2 shots on target

Its pretty cruel. Genuinely I think we have been the better side by far for almost the whole game.

I know we've been much worse than this recently but to say we've been better is pretty far off the mark. Aside from a few corners and long range efforts we've created fuck all.

So. Everybody still think the squad is sound and the manager is the only problem?

Sigh. Well I enjoyed most of the game. Shame it ended with the usual.

We've been the better side for most of the game but we don't look like scoring. We've had at least 3 times the number of chances. Southampton have just been clinical.

One thing that really boils my piss is the way players run forward when we attack, then stand still as if their job is somehow done. Fucking keep moving!

The squad is lower mid table championship level . That's the issue .
