The most telling thing is the Southampton fans do little more than applaud the goals. Playing us a victory is almost a given.

According to the Beeb Southampton have had just 2 shots on target

Its pretty cruel. Genuinely I think we have been the better side by far for almost the whole game.

You know, I'm really getting bored of not winning anything. It would be nice to win SOMETHING. Since we last did, Boro, Swansea, even fucking Blues have won something - why can't we?

Southampton won the Football League Trophy in the same season we lost to United in the League Cup Final. They would now be favourites for any game we played against them in the foreseeable future.

In fairness, a great ball from Stephen Davis followed by some lazy ball watching from Clark.
and a finish we can only dream of from one of our forwards

Yes I think that's the main difference tonight. Our strikers just aren't capable of the goals saints have scored.

Pellè  has been having "shots in" like boys in the park with jumpers for goldpsosts, enduring image, isn't it.

According to the BBC stats we have had 11 shots with 6 on target. They have had 6 shots with 2 on target and 2 goals. And we have had 7 corners to  their 2.

Think Southampton are very unsporting - we keep giving them the ball and they never give it back

Their two subs Davis and Tadic have changed the game

Grealish looks a lot better on the left, our other two subs Ayew and Sinclair have hardly had a kick

Really hard to see where the next goal is coming from for us

I was a teenager when we last won something, i'm not far off 40 now....ye gods.

I can barely remember it. Got a Villa ball with it on at the time but too young to watch or understand football at the time.
