I find it strange that we are in a position that our manager gets a multi million pound pay out if he loses (and gets sacked). What kind of incentive is that to win?

Now, it is a very weird team, but let's not pre-judge it. Swansea are out of form, and if the players really go at it early on we could get a big win. I know it doesn't exactly seem likely, and it's not the team any of us would have chosen, but let's see.

I'm actually a little shocked at your optimism or pragmatism. You're right about Swansea's form but the one thing we know is they have good players, who like to play possession football. What this line up will now allow them to do is push our powder puff midfield back into our back four and they will press us inside our half for large parts of the game. Pray they are so out of form that the ball doesn't end up at the feet of Ayew or Gomis in the process. The other tactic will be to knock it long to Gestede and hope to Gabby and Grealish play off him. Gestede isn't exactly the best at holding up the ball, and he's most effective running onto crosses. Who's going to provide those?

I hoe you're right Monty, but this team looks incredibly soft and weak in the areas we need to be resolute.

Gomis, 5 without a goal. What happens next?

Good start, even though the plan is transparently 'get it wide, get it in there.'

the giving the ball in midfield is creeping in already. Sigurdsson should have done better

We're looking okay going forward but - predictably - looking undermanned and overwhelmed in central midfield. A better shot from Gyulfi would have punished us.
