A win takes us to the giddy heights of 18th - yippee! Any other result could see us bottom come Sunday afternoon. Sadly I think it will be a draw - 2-2, but with the bonus that failing to win should see Sherwood on his bike.

2-2

If all fit, i’d like to see a run of games with this eleven. I liked the look of the Okore/Clark partnership at times last season, and despite Richards playing well as a whole it’s not helped our defence improve one bit has it? i’m sure he has more to offer as an attacking full back. And before anyone says ‘he wont play there’ what manager would get dictated to by a player as to where he wants to play ?

With him and Amavi as full backs i see a more balanced defence and more attacking threat and over lapping of those in front of them which can only help create more

Gil/Traore can fight for that wide right spot even though Gil cleary hasn’t got the legs to be a traditional winger

Grealish would start to give us width in a middle four but once he does he usual disappearing act i’d have him off and get Sanchez or Westwood on and possibly push Veretout to the left

I’d player Awew just off Gestede and give him a bit more licence to roam, but mainly in and around the box where we need him

Guzan stays in purely as i’ve no idea how much use Bunn is. I’d have him in the stiffs otherwise

---------------- Guzan -----------------
-Richards – Okore – Clark – Amavi-
--Gil – Gana – Veretout – Grealish--
---------- Awew – Gestede ----------

First goal is very key here I think. If we get it their confidence could go after the run they've been on. If it goes against us the atmosphere will almost certainly get quite nasty.

1-0 Villa win for me. Gestede just after half time.

Apparently Swansea are on their worst run of results in the Premier League. Who better for them to now face than us to help them out - it's what we're in the league for!

Gestede needs be on the bench until the last 20-25 minutes, if it isnt working.

And give Guzan a few pointers about looking up at the pitch before deciding who to give the ball to, and cover your lines quick, incase the best option is going to fall over/ not control the ball etc

I've gone for a Villa win in hope more than any real expectation.

I've always liked Guzan, apart from when he first replaced Brad1 - but my advice is
If in doubt - tonk it - left footed as far as it will go

Gone for us to lose because that's what we do best. If Sherwood doesn't survive after this weekend he will equal Billy Mcneill's record for shortest tenure as manager.

I'd like to think the tide may turn in this one but we've long gone past trying to predict anything positive. On another note, does anyone think Bunn might actually get the nod in this one?

0-1. Lots of possession in midfield for both teams, Swansea to actually get into our box and score with some of theirs.

Swansea are basically a 4th tier outfit, tradionally, so we should  have no problem in seeing them off.

My first game at VP since Spurs last season and more importantly mine and the better halfs first day out together without the kids in flipping months. Win, lose or draw I will be having a great day. I actually think we will win, by the odd goal. 2-1 with a late winner from Richards. I normally drink on the Lichfield road side of the ground after the game but it seems the pubs are either closed or its tickets only to get in. Any advice peeps would be great. UTV.
