Nonsense. Blame him for appointing shit managers by all means but at least get a grip of reality.
It was only a few months ago everybody thought he was wonderful with all our new signings.

I think back to his remarks when he took over.

He thought himself as a custodian of the club, it's history and heritage, he understood it all, blah blah.

When push came to shove he then employed so of the worst solutions to the problems we had. For a club who he claimed to get and respect how does he reconcile appointing perennial losers like Mcleish or work experience candidates like Lambert and Sherwood.

I love this club, always have done, I've spent 30 years watching them now, which is a fraction of the time some have done and it bloody hurts watching us as we are. I KNOW we are a big club, I've lived it and feel it whenever I'm in the ground. We need someone in place managing this team with a prescence. Partially to help us gain back some respect, we have none anymore, we are a bit of a joke. Someone to instil a bit of fear in to the others, with a brain, years of doing it, someone who won't be laughed at or ridiculed. Not another rent a quote with nothing to back it up, or someone who's just really pleased to be here because he's only manager a fucking turnip of a club like Norwich City.

Lerner cannot completely disconnect with the club and expect to get anything right. It's not going to happen, but before he sells, he needs to sort this mess out that is partially of his making. The first port of call should be to make the next appointment one that would turn a few heads.

We are in the so called best league in the world.
There is money pouring out of everyones ears.
We are still very very well known.
Huge ground, great support and ghosts from the past that can only inspire the best.

Make the next appointment something fitting of what we were and still can be, let's not accept what isn't even second best, some no mark from a nothing club who will completely crumble under the pressure of managing one of this countries truly big clubs.

If he hasn't learnt his mistake from 3 examples then he never will and we are doomed. We're Villa, 7 Fa Cups, 7 leagues, 5 league cups and the big one, let's have a bit of bloody self respect and expect more than what we are getting, no more losing 5,6,7 in a row and carrying on like it's to be expected. No more not scoring game after game and carrying on like it's to be expected. No more losing to shithouses like Palace and Stoke at home without a whimper. No more employing people who crumble because they have no substance.

We need to find some respect for ourselves again and the first stage is appointing a manager that is respected. Over to you Fox and Lerner you pair of twats.

Now really villa should have attacked with pace v Chelsea today. Also baba looked suspect and needed to be constantly hounded. Ayew would have been better stationed on right side therefore. Gil cuts in and wonders around he , Westwood and grealish looked too lightweight for this battle. Gestede needed support be ayew closer to him or Sinclair . The back two of Chelsea have been struggling and today pressure and attacking impetus needed wasn't shown.
Onto the goal of gift by guzan. The passing back in first place is just a lack of responsibly and then the dam awful clearance out. Absolutely typical.
The second goal was poor all round from disjointed shape to team.
Gestede had scraps but had a decent attempt when lively play by ayew crossing the ball. Also  hutton and greslish had chances in area but made wrong decisions. Hutton certainly had 2 chances to create a goal.

I don't think there's any conspiracy as far as Lerner is concerned. He's just been naive. Giving O'Neill the keys to the place... The Houllier and McLeish debacle... Holding onto Lambert for  1 season too long.. austerity... young and hungry... cheap experienced PL players... and now the buying of cheaper foreign talent. The best thing would for him to be able to sell but he can't. The big Catch 22 for us.
