Considering Sherwood's big strength is meant to be his cheeky chappy motivational ability, the players look miserable as sin, and there's not much in the way of urgency. The attacking players should be demanding the ball and coming to look for it, but they seem to be hiding a lot.

This is part of the reason I don't want Moyes. Personality matters, that's what Sherwood brought last season - however, it's turned out that he's not so much full of confidence as not in control of his emotions, which seem to be infectious one way or another. Moyes, not exactly the cheeriest at the best of times and also feeling the stress this season at Sociedad, wouldn't give this team the emotional spark back.

Is it too much to ask to be able to take a decent corner for christ's sake?

I'd love to see Lerner and his cronies shortlist of twats they've drawn up for the next go at work experience in the Premier League with the Villa.

Only an experienced manager can save us, not somebody learning/blagging their way in football management.

Time to go. Abysmal second half.
Is that you, Sherwood or the Club?
