Dalian Atkinson scored his wonder goal at Wimbledon.

That makes me feel old.

Bloody hell, makes me feel old too, 23 years since I have left school. Still make my favourite Villa goal, shame it was scored at a dive like Selhurst Park.

Was at the game at the back of the terracing so it took less than a minute to run to the bog and back for a pee.
Enough time to miss the goal and be back in time to see the bloke with the brolly.

Will we ever have anything like this again? I watch the old clips and I could cry. Its like none of it ever happened.

When you watch even Gregory's fairly average sides they look light years from what we see now.

I was on the open terrace in pouring rain - wet through, with water running down my neck, before the game even started. But what a goal! One of the best Villa goals I've seen live

We sure are light years away from those days, sadly in the current football climate unless we get taken over by asian billionaires they ain't coming back either, best we can ever hope for is like a last season....survive in the premier league and hope to get a cup run, football has changed. Big Ron wheeled and dealed to put together the best footballing side we ever had. Can't happen now. I'm already nostalgic for the O'Neil era and it was only 5 years ago and we hardly were a great side then but at least we had some purpose and seemed to be aiming for something.

Come on Deano. You love all those clips, they're ingrained in you and most importantly you enjoyed them as they happened. Be thankful.

Dunno, is it really better playing them at their identikit modern soulless stadium built next to Croydon IKEA in a huge car park?

Wimbledon or Palace in the Premier League at Selhurst Park in 2015 would be a wonderful anachronism amidst all the bland, corporate, characterless shit that Richard Scudamore wet-dreamed-up.

From Stourbridge, Rioch his nickname is. Mate of mine lives in the flat below him. He's still dining out on his moment of yampiness all those years ago.....
