Well he played at the top for enough years so you would imagine he knows slightly more 'than sweet FA.'  Having said that I think Amavi has impressed a few people in the game with his attacking skills!

Savage is inane and pretty thick - the two second culture personified. I don't think he takes himself all that seriously.

Lawro on the other hand is a fucking lazy bastard who thinks he is doing all of us a favour sitting slouched on the sofa repeating the same blurb for the last 20 years. Fuck right Off ya has been

                  Guzan

Hutton   Richards   Clark   Amavi

         Sanchez       Gueye

Ayew        Veretout        Grealish

                 Gestede

I do like the look of that side, but i'd go with Bacuna instead of Hutton. He was awful last week.

Bacuna's last game was one of the worst I've seen from any Villa player in the last few years. Complete headless chicken who got worse by the minute. Hutton whilst not brilliant last week looked one of the few competent players out there.

I like that side but would maybe swap Ayew for Gil though he did get bullied by them last season.

I was referring to his current knowledge Of Villa , I am sure he knows alot more than me about football in general  :-\

Cant. really argue with Lawros comments, Amavi has looked good at times but is a long way from the complete article.
I do not think we look a better team either and we are in a relegation battle already.

We are all hoping that Sherwood somehow finds the right combination, stops making daft decisions we start to gel as a team and start picking up points real quick.

7 games in, I can argue with Lawro's comments all day long.

Lawro speaks:

Aside from Rudy Gestede, none of their summer signings have caught the eye yet and there is no way you can tell me they look a better team than last year.

The reality of the situation is that they are in a relegation fight. Sherwood has admitted it, but some of their new players will be thinking "I didn't sign up for this".

Amavi, probably our best performing new signing, hasn't caught his eye? Says it all about his punditry skills.
Amavi whilst looking good at times has really caught the eye for his stupid costly errors. Not convinced.

I think Amavi overall has been good. A little suspect at times but being new to the league, it's possible that was going to happen.

He reminds me a bit of Ashley Cole but with glitches.
